View Full Version : Which Team Do You Think The Banana Boat Will Join?

and when? Sooner than later? Several years from now? Does it happen?

If it happens soon, I can see it being a one-off because of salary cap. It might even result in minimum-deals happening. Maybe that means it'd happen in a big market so they could make up some of that money, or maybe they'd do it in a city in which their taxes are much less than most cities.

If a team does have cap for all of them (not maxes of course), would a team even give it to them if it's not in the next couple of season? Sure, they'd be a contender, but teams might not want to jeopardize their future. Maybe a team who thinks they're so far away would be willing to do it?

I can see it being Cleveland, Miami again or Lakers. Don't think CP3 will be part of it but Melo and Wade will.

Lakers is the obvious choice. Not many teams even have dedicated cap space for this squad so it'd be tricky.

Lakers next year and it may be featuring Paul George too.

I don't think it will happen, but the Lakers seem like the most realistic location. It'd have to happen while all the other main guys are still on rookie deals, unless the Banana Boat is willing to wait until its late 30s take the veteran's minimum.
