There is a lot of sh** that can happen by 2027. Michael Jordan could be the commishioner of the NBA.

LBJ: Sorry Dan, I want to move out west. I'm leaving next year.
Gilbert: I'll follow you, anywhere you want to go, just name it.

Wasn't his best window to sell the Cavs was after the 2015-2016 NBA season? Coming off a championship and no personnel drama.

And with the HUGE new TV deal on the horizon, not after that money had been spent and the forecast became far more bleak.

Dan Gilbert is from Michigan and has a lot of interest in the Pistons. Lebron has a lot of interest in buying a team. He's mentioned it many times. He's good friends with Warren Buffett who may be interested also. I could very well see Lebron buying the cavs once he retires.

Durants opinion on Lebron and the Cavs:

Durant expects little change. I personally always said he was staying, the Warriors forward said. I told him this. Thats me. I feel like hes going to end it in Cleveland. Thats his crib now. He run it and he gonna turn it into something mega when hes done. Hes going to do something.

Why sell the team if you don't want to lol. He loves being an owner and he loves basketball. The best time to sell is when you don't wanna do it anymore or a chance at owning a team closer to home.

Without LeBron, Cleveland's one of the weakest links in the NBA. The city and its economy has been shrinking since the 1950s, along with the Rust Belt in general. How long does an NBA team not follow the natural migration of people and capital?
I think at least one team has to go west, hopefully to Seattle. Then move Memphis or New Orleans into the eastern conference.

Lebron gonna leave the team, play a few more years while Cleveland's value goes down (well doesn't go up at the same pace as everyone else), then buy the team at a discounted price when he retires
