That seems like a lot for Felicio. If he has shown more potential than I've seen at least he's going to be entering his prime as potentially a decent player on a good contract ... if he improves.

Is Felicio really worth his own thread? Like I legit thought someone posted soccer news in NBA.

The only reason I created it was $32M :)

It's amazing we have arrived at a point where $8M a year goes to relative unknowns.

Yeah, I'll be honest. I have no clue who this guy is. Chicago is having one giant train wreck of an offseason.

He's someone that would maybe be worth that contract if he played for Dallas with Rick Carlisle running pnr with him

I think he's a decent enough backup Center. This is slightly below MLE money.

IDK, to me MLE money is for REALLY GOOD role players. I think of him as more of a bi-annual or room exception type of player.

In today's league this is what gets you a backup center that is young. He's a good defender, hustle guy. For where the Bulls are, he's exactly the type of player you sign to a contract like this, hoping he out performs it and then you trade him in a year or two

*choad :)

lol

Oh ... and Cristiano Felicio as a backup C at $8M per year, and sell the 2nd round pick where Jordan Bell was selected who will play backup C the next few years for around $4M TOTAL.

But ... if he develops he may some day be worth is ... but I don't know that that's the way to bet.

Bulls could of ate Henson for less. At least Henson has a declining salary each season.

not a great signing but this is where the league is. had similar stats to biyombo last year. though not the playoff play that got him paid. he is a 10 and 8 guy starting. hustle and defensive player. while 8 mil seems like a lot. it's the going rate for anyone who isn't washed . again. I'm not huge on signing. but 8 mil backup center is what your getting a days. show me a team who recently signed a backup center (who isn't washed up) for much less.

He's steadily improved each year, is a big body with great hands, and is great with the lob game. Has a respectable mid-range shot. Very athletic. It's a good deal, honestly. He should continue to get better and will be a solid backup C.

Not that it's a fair comparison ... but the Warriors got Zaza, West, and McGee for less than $8M last year.

Big men take time to develop so you've got to invest in them ... it's a shame he got so expensive on his 2nd deal while not having developed more yet. We'll see what he does with more PT this year.
