I have tickets to tonight's game, but I'm not super interested in sitting in the cold rain for three hours... wouldn't mind a rainout.

^^ Looks like you got it, dude. Tuesday's game canceled and rescheduled as part of a doubleheader 7/16.

Rain kept the Red Sox off the field yesterday, but if they’d been able to play, Dustin Pedroia would have been at second base.

“I think we all have been around Pedey long enough to know that there’s going to be games he doesn’t feel physically 100 percent, but he’s played a high number of them,” manager John Farrell said. “A high pain threshold, strong competitor, ready to get back on the field. He went through some early work (yesterday), whether it was hitting in the cage to getting some mobility work done. He would have been in the lineup.”

The plan is to have Pedroia in the lineup tonight when the Red Sox finally start the series against the rival Yankees...

Sandoval was placed on the 10-day DL with a right knee sprain suffered Sunday. It’s not clear exactly how much time Sandoval will miss.

“Some of the swelling that was in there, and it was pretty quick,” Farrell said. “The onset of it, late in the game on Sunday and then even when we got off the flight (it had gotten better). It was a little bit yesterday, a little bit better today, so I don’t have when baseball activities would start, but he’s dealing with a strain.”Boston Herald

Yankee fan here, come in peace lol. Last night was an awesome game and very well fought. It was very well pitched, Porcello was dealing, made the one mistake to Judge, and thankfully Severino didn't make any. Tonight should be a very good game, provided Tanaka can keep the Sox at bay, he's been a little feast or famine so far this year. I have no doubt Sale will throw a gem tonight. I actually don't like Yankees chances tonight, I think you guys got tonight. The third game should be interesting and probably high scoring. Best of luck all.

Thanks, Strahan. There won't be a game three -- the rainout was moved to their series in July.

Oh yeah that's right lol. Completely forgot about Tuesday's rainout.

The 2017 Sox lack an identity... I don't like that.

If i were sale i wouldn't want to be a part of this ****** offensive team

A crap offense and a depleted farm system... these are DD's Red Sox.

If nothing else, it shows you why you should tread a bit lightly with DD's version of "giving something to get something." Of course it's true that you have to give to receive, but IMO he tends to buy high. Doing that repeatedly puts you into position to, oh, I don't know, sign a guy like Travis d'Arnaud because your infield is banged up. Damn.

Price? Elbow issue delayed his season. Targeted May but could be June.
Thornburg? Shoulder problem in ST. Had to restart his rehab. Twice. ETA unknown.
Smith? Yup, another elbow guy. His rehab hit a glitch, too.
Kimbrel? Knee required surgery and an injury finger screwed up his mechanics so his control has been off.

At least Sale has been the real deal. He's now got a 0.72 ERA after five starts, has thrown 22 consecutive innings without an earned run... oh, and he's 1-2 on the season and can't get a win in two games in which he's yielded a total of 1 unearned run in 16IP. WTF?
