Could be a solid piece off the bench for a contender. Who scoops him up?

He needs to take Melo's spot on the Knicks

Kinda sad that a former top pick is so unwanted. So many more stories like this than there are guys who even moderately live up to their draft status.

He reminds me of Simmons. Big athletic guy that can handle but has no j. Only difference is Williams can finish and Simmons is a better passer

Wolves have 3 of them in the past 8 years. Flynn, Johnson, Williams...

I thought he was starting to build something in New York. I figured he would probably end up being a decent role player off the bench... wonder why his time in Miami was so bad?

Cleveland took Bennett #1, they also took Dion Waiter at #4 overall.

Shooting in basketball is like hitting in baseball. You just have to be able to do it. Occasionally there is a Shaq that can turn his shoulder slightly and send people flying and then dunk on them. johnny Flynn wasn't Shaq

Someone should send DeRozan and Antetokounmpo the memo then.

DeRozan only lacks ranges. He needs to be checked mid range, shoots 85% from the line, and get there regularly. Anteokounmpo was nicknamed "freak" the day he entered the league (he is the Shaq anomaly) and does needs for everyone else to let him be the primary play maker to be as good as he is.

Flynn shot up the draft boards in workouts. Whether that's because people knew the Wolves liked him high in the draft or because he is a beast in drills, we'll never know. Just glad the Pacers dodged that one.

Rodman?

Rules have exceptions. Would you draft Dennis Rodman out of college in the lottery? I hope not bc 99 times out of 100 your guy is going to peak at Jerome Williams

I actually really like this for the Cavs.

Do you think he will be more useful than RJ?

I can't give you an honest answer, I've caught a couple of his games through the years. It just doesn't seem like he fits any of the Cavs needs but if we open up a couple more roster spots i guess it'll be moot, it is only a 10 day contract anyway.

Idk, JR seems like good fit there.

I think it's interesting since we obviously have a need for a big man and a need for a point guard. Yet, we give away our only roster spot for D-Will on a 10-day contract in what is pretty much a redundant position.

I imagine we're gonna see how he fits in the Cavs system, and if he fits well then I'm guessing Griff will be trading someone soon.
