That last play was BS. Rose clearly got fouled but it's the Knicks, they never get the calls.

Portland and Sacremento making it impossible to force the Nuggets to sell. Sadly a win today moves Denver to the 8th spot. Before we beat Indiana last Thursday our last win was December 28th.

I only saw the live feed angle, but just watched it a few more times and didn't notice a foul. He went straight up, so no body foul, and that looked like all ball on the swat. Definitely wasn't obvious on the game feed if indeed another angle shows differently. Plus if you attack the rim on a last second play, you have to REALLY earn the contact for them to blow the whistle. Refs will only call blatant/excessive contact for would-be game winning free throws.

Also Melo could've just made the 3 footer and it's a moot point.

All I am saying.. Joel has been double and triple teamed all day... literally every time he touches the ball.. still dropping 13/11/5....... Gia had 6 foot 5 henderson on him all first half because brown is ********... goes for 21... they start doubling him and he has 2 points in the 2nd half... EMBIID IS JUST MORE UNSTOPPABLE.

BTW since most the nation is learning about Embiid and the Sixers, a cool uniform touch we have is the stars on the side. The left side has 4 stars on the jersey, 3 on the shorts. The right side has 3 on the jersey, 3 on the shorts. 7-6.

Not to mention the number of shots he alters is mind boggling. He needs to start getting some attention for DPOY.

This is how the dubs need to play. Touches for everyone, playing team ball first, THEN trying to win the 1 on 1 matchup, instead of the other way around.

Gotta play the whole game tho, still a half left. Can't give them ANYTHING positive to take away

I didn't say head2head was important at all. I just said that a team playing with a #1 SRS for 16 games doesn't mean anything until they're beating the best teams and putting up a bigger sample size.

Yeah he has always failed vs Bron. He was utterly underwhelming in His series vs the grizz when rwb was sidelined and was doubly disappointing offensively in the series vs the team he later joined and was allegedly speaking to as said team was injuring his best teammates. Yeah, beating the best teams while sporting a high SRS means something.

I'm not worried after this game in particular because the playoffs are a different atmosphere. However, the Warriors are showing that they are the favorites and the best team in the NBA. I felt it would be an uphill battle to beat them last year, and that was BEFORE they added Durant.

Not sure what more you want from me.

Edit: Until the Clippers show they can maintain the #1 SRS while beating the Dubs/Cavs (1-10 in the last 2 years) then I'll continue to believe they aren't on the Dubs/Cavs level. That's with the same core. Their best lineups are great, but obviously it takes more than just that to win the big one.

Yeah, for sure. I actually felt uneasy/bad whenever I said "Cavs/Warriors", because truthfully the Warriors are by themselves. But I do feel the Cavs have the best shot at beating them (and maybe the Spurs - they fly so under the radar it's insane). Definitely not the Clippers even with all their best lineups ever.

The only hope is that come playoffs it's much harder for the Warriors and they go through a gauntlet. If the Dubs can play the same way in the playoffs then it might be pretty hopeless.

Cuz my team is much closer to yours than you are to the Dubs. The whole Clips not being on that platform is insulting based on objective barometers, ESPECIALLY when the team you happen to turn to are the ****ing Spurs. One of many teams that have already won a title despite losing against the "best competition". What matters IMO, is the 82 RS AND how your best lineups perform. My stance on the Clippers contention hopes didn't change one iota when they predictably beat your Cavs and those Spurs (look it up, I called those wins in easy fashion in the Game Threads). Thats my greater point. Why stress the minuscule games? Maybe the game is changing to that degree, but until it happens, I trust historical odds.

You should have agreed to disagree in that thread, there is very little evidence that suggest it "matters" how you do vs an isolated group of teams when compared the barometers I stress.

Vee-Rex

Cuz my team is much closer to yours than you are to the Dubs.

I'm perfectly fine with you believing this, because it's a legitimate stance. Have they proven this? No. And while I'm sure you can type up a 10-page post on why you believe the Clips are closer, they sort of need to prove it.

Also, for the record, the guy that I was arguing with even acknowledge my view on it at the end. Changing my mind will be a gradual process, but I think the fact that the Cavs (playoff Cavs anyhow) are 6-7 vs. the Dubs show that they're closer to THAT Dubs team than the Clippers ever were to either teams.

Adding in Durant changes things obviously, but I'm a stickler for the playoffs far more than you are based on practically every argument we've had over the year, and until we see the Durant-Dubs dominating teams in the playoffs then I'll assume that they're still human.

Heh, Dubs gotta slow down a notch in the playoffs, right? Tell me it'll happen! I'm also relying on LeBron to be able to become superhuman again in the playoffs and for Kyrie to feed off of it. Am I just blinded by hope? Maybe the Cavs did just overachieve last year?

:(

Bruh u ain't gotta worry about him come the finals. Giannis, Middleton and Jabari will take care of that.

Not sure why so many people are complaining about Green getting a flagrant. He wasn't going for the ball (no matter how many times Webber said that he was), he shoulder blocked him and gave an extra oomph there at the end. Plus, he has to be smarter and realize if he gives the refs a reason to look at it, he'll probably get it.

But that looked flagranty to me. Then again, I give him no breaks. Then again, it's because he earned that from his b-tch a-- play. **** that guy.

And yeah, KD with his "Couldn't Beat 'Em So I Joined 'Em" ******** is really awful. The guy's a joke.

Wow, how factually wrong of you.

Also, we've been over this many times but please don't compare what Lebron joined to what KD just joined. That's pretty ****ing dumb.

Celticd traded for Ray ray, drafted rondo, had pierce. Lakers had only kobe and signed shaq. The Lebron to miami was the stsrt of super-teamd a the begining of the easy way to a ring.

.i will compare the 2 tomorrow am when I'm not on mobile

Because if LBJ doesn't flop backwards like a little ***** then he just absorbs the contact and it's a common foul and the game goes on as usual. You'd have to be a true sally to think that warrants a flagrant.

And an unfavorable KD take? Please, go on. Your incite is always so illuminating.

Are you kidding? Draymond shoulder blocked him like it was a 'rasslin' match and gave an extra shrug. Flop or no, that was a flagrant.

Cavs now with the 6th best win differential in the league, just a bit ahead of Utah. Here's hoping they're truly coasting.

I honestly don't know how they do it. Clips keep winning without Blake against quality teams. I betrayed myself betting against them. I deserve no fine scotch tonight. Shame i already bought it

Where do you go? Do you even still live in the bay? I am in Marin County.

I'm in Fresno actually. Oh I don't really bet, I used to live by a sports book, and then Vegas sports books. N then some weird bookie ****, haha. But nothing regular, not even close, im not a gambler.

How can you be mad at someone agreeing with you, but I assure you, Im good whether they win or not. I kind of set myself up for that. Last year I bet on the Clips winning pre-season, this year was so much easier of a decision that I had to wait in line to place my bet. I only bet against the Clips now but this finals sounds easy as **** despite everyone claiming the contrary, I mean, Vegas has NEVER weighed the odds so heavily in GS favor. Wouldn't you be stupid to ignore it?

I get mad at everything. But not you. You drink scotch

Lebron went down like he had been shot. Kept holding his jaw which never made contact with Green. I really just wish Lebron wasnt such a whiny little ***** so we could all appreciate his greatness.

It's a soft flagrant but a flagrant. I don't understand what green was trying to do there. If he was trying to slow Lebron by pretending to go for the steal, he did a horrible job at.

Listen up. No need for the hate. Lebron changed the NBA and KD is doing following in hos foot steps. It's not Bae, it's GOAT because Giannis will be the best olayer of all time and is currently on the same tier as the self-proclaimed-akron-king.

So good the Sixers left him wide open for a 3 to tie the game late......and he bricked it.

LeBron is committed to his art ... on Green's flagrant (which I think was a marginal flagrant, but I'm okay with it) LeBron acted for the entire review like he was injured, acted like he couldn't focus, kept grimacing. Pretty funny.

This. Everyone made it seem like Lebron barely got touched. Hard foul, borderline flagrant. Maybe I watch Gallo too much cause he does that multiple times nightly
