View Full Version : Star/Borderine star with least amount of talent around him

I am not asking which player(s) is/are better. I am asking which player, if you took him off the team would hurt the most IE: If I take Lebron off the Cavs, they still have 2 all stars. If I take Giannis or Westy off their respective teams, both are picking high lottery, at least for this upcoming season.

So far I think its Giannis, Harden, Westy. I was inclined to say Embiid, but they even struggle with him (although I realize progress is being made).

Suns. You take away Booker and it's over for the suns.

Brook Lopez and it's not even close.

Look at that Nets team! If he isn't on it then they're a joke!

I think with or without Brook, that team fights for every possession and is well coached. Just lack of established talent. They still are a joke and will be lottery with or without Brook.

I'm a season ticket holder for the Nets (ya I live in NY as a Raptors fan) and with or without Brook, they have the same record (5 wins) they should really trade Brook for young talent and totally rebuild the franchise with new faces and younger pieces.

After some eventful seasons, i will give Brook kudos if he wants to stay and see this through till the next Nets revival to NBA playoff contention.

They looked ok until they lost Lin. I'm a fan of Booker and Hamilton looks decent.

Today: Davis/Lillard/Harden/Westbrook

Early past: The Answer and Kobe after Shaq got traded and Tmac in Orlando

Maybe Cousins?

Durant.

I think Westbrook, Davis and Harden for sure. Brook Lopez has a joke of a team around him in terms of overall talent.

Lilliard has McCollum
Cousins has Gay but the rest of the team ugh.

okay there. They have Bledsoe who is their best overall player. They also have Warren. and Len. As of right now, losing Bledsoe is more devastating than losing Booker.

and maybe next year for Booker. I don't think he's a borderline all star yet.

There really are a lot of good answers to this question.

AD/WB/Harden/Cousins/Lopez/Giannis all make sense. But what if you take Towns off the Wolves, wouldnt they be headed straight for the lottery? Or Butler off the Bulls, would 35 year old Wade be able to carry that team? Or the Wizards without Wall? Or the Pacers without George?

Anthony Davis is the only acceptable answer.

Lillard shares a backcourt with another 20+ point scorer. i do think they built a poor overall team around them too but he wouldnt be in my top 3 for this topic.

Well they are 7-12 with him and would be picking in lottery as of now so taking him off the team would still result in lottery.

did you not see how bad that roster was before Jrue came back? Davis was putting up insane numbers in losing efforts thanks to no help

The Wolves are heading straight for the lottery with Towns.

I'm kind of surprised by all the Harden/Westbrook replies. They have quality players around them, they just got the ball and are putting up huge individual stats. Guys like David, Cousins, and Lopez probably have the worst supporting cast.

If we're talking right now, as Middleton is injured, Giannis has a legit case, too.

Well they might be 0-19 without Davis. I'd say he's the single most important player to his team atm.

Jrue wasn't hurt, he was on leave. Asik has played in all 19 games, and everyone else is meh to terrible.

I knew Suns had Bledsoe but for some reason I thought he was still hurt. My bad.

Booker has looked good tho. He's playing like a borderline all star but will be off the list with the deep guard play out west. He's looking like klay Thomson.
