No Embiid for the Sixers tonight. He stayed in Philly for rest and to check on the foot and make sure it's ok.

Okafor will play tonight, but limited to 16-20 minutes.

No word on Ilyasova availability.

I think the Bulls lose their first game tonight. I think the Bulls are better but you can't beat the good teams every game and Boston is at home. This is my prediction even though Horford and possibly Avery Bradley are out. I hope I'm wrong though.

Also, the Lakers are surprising. I thought we would be absolutely terrible and no fun to watch, but they've competed every night. Good win against the Hawks.

Washington needs to do something. That team just lacks any identity and their chemistry is off.

That statline was very Westbrook: 30 shots. 0-7 from three. 10 TO's. And the game sealer. Defense for OKC must've been epic for them with literally nobody on OKC with more than 9 points other than Russell. Not sure it's a sustainable game plan, but hey they're 4-0 and just beat the Clips.

30 FGA but basically shot 50% with then entire defense keyed in on him. Dude had 5 big plays in a row to end the game w/a steal and dunk, rebound over griffin, pull up on deandre, etc

I only saw the last couple minutes but he played really well there. It's just a hilarious and very predictable season for Westbrook (averaging the most attempts in the modern-era, just playing with total impunity). The only surprise to me is that they're 4-0 if I'm being perfectly honest. First L coming tomorrow night though.

Would point out two things. 1) I've been watching Westbrook play since the day he was drafted. Have probably missed 20 games of his over the last 8 years total. Never have i seen him this visibly gassed on the court. He was hunched over at one point in the 4th. Don't know how Okc can consistently rely on him for so much

2) People always talk about Westbrook missing the playoffs when KD was out...but that's actually not true. If you look at the games that Westbrook played but KD didn't and take out the two games that year where he left in Q1 after breaking his hand and getting his cheek dented, Okc was on a 53 win pace with just him. Ibaka also missed a bunch of games that year too. So this 4-0 start is not surprising to me

1) I've watched far less than you, but far more than 99% of the non die-hard OKC fans. I used to watch them religiously, but still watch 1/3rd of OKC's games. And yeah, I actually deleted a portion of my post that talked about how this was entirely unsustainable for Westbrook, and that he will regress very quickly as the season goes on if he tries to keep this up (they can't let him).
2) Well, I figured them to be a 44-48 win team, so winning games like this against LAC is not expected to me. Truly their D must have been awesome tonight to win with such little offensive help (and it's not as if Westbrook was particularly efficient offensively. Decent shooting but a ton of turnovers).

The Knicks are just a hot mess right now at 1-3. I'm calling it now, they'll miss the playoffs again.

Somehow in 28 minutes Porzingis only took 4 shots... Meanwhile Derrick Rose took 18 and Carmelo took 15. They're not going to win games if those two are the feature guys. Porzingis has to be a significant part in the offense. He can't just be the guy who runs around setting picks for Carmelo and Rose. Also, when it comes to Rose, he is just out of control and awful. Totally inefficient. Can't play much defense either and can't shoot. Carmelo has also regressed this year.

You've got two ball hogs who are on the downside of their career. You have Porzingis who is not being properly utilized. Jeff Hornacek has no idea what he's doing.

Saddle, for one your entire persona on here is "salt" (for all things GS related at least), so eat a fat one. My comment was tongue-in-cheek obviously, I only somewhat care about baseball anyway. But if you don't think Cleveland falling 3-1 at home in G7 in their championship THE SAME YEAR as the Cavs (and the same WEEK as Lebrons Halloween party with the 3-1 jokes) is not the world's most epic poetic justice for that city, I can't help ya.

Much rather be at the games than see them all live (edit: live on tv that is). I live too far away at this point to make it out to more than a few a year, enjoy that! Plus half the non GSW games I watch now are fast-forwarded after the fact on league pass anyway.

Yes - sports, saddle. Where we take unmitigated shots at the teams and cities they are from. Specifically when you're in the midst of an epic rivalry (I understand this is not something you are familiar with) and the leader of the other city just served up a meatball that week. Thanks Cubbies - for knocking that meatball out of the park and ruining "3-1" for the city forever.

Getting swept or losing in 5 wouldn't have been enough. They had to go up 3-1 and lose at home. And the God of Irony made sure they did.

I'm sure Cleveland will take it. Two would've been nice but one is still better than most cities. And they lost to a great storyline, not Nut Puncher and the Chokers (Klay has to have figured out it's the regular season and not still the Finals yet, right?)

Also, two years does not a rivalry make. Don't tell me about rivalries, I know all too well about them. Basketball might be your only bag, but it's not mine. And anyways, when the team you root for already has two huge rivalries because each team has been good-great for the past 15-20 years with each team winning chanpionchips, it's at a higher level than a team that sucked for decades that just in the past few years has been relevant. Who's in a rivalry with GS? The Clippers? And only because both sucked for so long and got respectable at the same time, I guess.

The Warriors have a championship-rivalry with Cleveland, who they could very well face in the first 3-peat rubber-match in NBA history this year. It is ripe with contentiousness, pettiness, and the games best players. It should continue next season as well and will likely go down in the NBA pantheon when talking about Championship-level rivalries when it's all said and done. MJ's Bulls/Bad-Boy Pistons are an All-Time rivalry despite it only being 4 years of real existence, with just two of those series being close and in the conference Finals.

As far as Cleveland "taking it". Well no ****. This is a city with a history of never-ending losses, of course they'll take it. But I assure you, it STUNG and stung big time. As a Warriors fan who watched Lebron jump full-board onto the Indians bandwagon and hosted the Halloween that went viral with "3-1", it was sweet. Very sweet.

PS: Just a heads up, your team has NO championships in the last 1-20 years. You're living in the past and whatever rivalry you perceive is only relevant within the borders of your state and/or city. Nobody else cares. At all. Other teams with no championships ever btw? The Houston Texans and Houston Astros. God that is a **** sports city amirite?

As a Warriors fan who watched Lebron jump full-board onto the Indians bandwagon and hosted the Halloween that went viral with "3-1", it was sweet. Very sweet.

PS: Just a heads up, your team has NO championships in the last 1-20 years. You're living in the past and whatever rivalry you perceive is only relevant within the borders of your state and/or city. Nobody else cares. At all. Other teams with no championships ever btw? The Houston Texans and Houston Astros. God that is a **** sports city.

It stung the city, yes, but probably not quite in the way you believe. Everyone I know has come away with nothing but positive remarks. 92.3 the Fan has had nothing but positive callers and people praising the Cubs while being proud of the Indians.

Understand that we were underdogs throughout the playoffs. From the majority (including ourselves), we weren't expected to make it that far. At the beginning of the season we definitely did not expect to do as well as we did. It felt like we were playing with house money until it looked like we would beat the Cubs. Imagine if the Celtics made it to the finals with a 3-1 lead. It would sting to lose like that, but the aftermath would be a glow and great memories. It's not at all the same as being the favorites only to lose a 3-1 lead.

If this were the Cavs losing a 3-1 lead, the city would've been livid. We've got a **** ton of pessimistic fans and a loss like that wouldn't have been received well at all. A 3-1 loss will sting any fan-base but the city is already excited for next year. The Indians are a young team with a promising future.

As for myself - I'm an Indians fan but it didn't sting one bit. Basketball and Football are the only 2 sports I care about. Now if the Browns one day go to the Super Bowl and lose in some kind of choke-like fashion then I'd be devastated. I'm such a huge Browns/football fan, hoping that maybe one day we'll see them be successful.

There's more to Chi/Det than just a few years in one sport. Please.

And like Vee just alluded to, The Indians werent the returning (**** talking) champs that set the regular season record (and had awful humans playing for them). Parenthesis are my own two cents.

I guarantee you Lebron wouldn't be taking shots if Draymond, Klay and Curry weren't acting like a bunch of immature fools at one time or another at Lebrons/Cavs expense in the last 19 or so months.. If you're going to dish it out, learn how to take it.

So, everyone else has to care for a rivavly to matter to an individual? Solid foundation there/What an argument.

Who said I was an Astros/Texans fan? You're going to hurt yourself jumping to conclusions like that. Once again, know what you're talking about before you talk ****.

Ever had a buddy or co-worker or acquaintance on an online forum that was a sad sack and you kind of felt sorry for him but as soon as he caught a break or two he became totally insufferable and you wished he never would have lucked out if he was going to be that way about it?

Most of us on PSD definitely have.

This is also all very silly and petty. Whatevs.

3-1 Vee. From a team without a World Series title in virtually 80 years (edit sorry: Virtually 70 years. Chopped off a decade from you. For reference though, Barack Obama would not be born for 13 years after the last time Cleveland won a World Series), who may not have another chance at it as long as you and I are alive. After the 3-1 jokes all week. You can rationalize it all you want. Cleveland can feign gratitude for the chance to be there all they want. They were there with a chance to create the most epic year in that cities existence and they blew it. And I know for a fact it was embarrassing for the city and its fans to lose at home in that exact fashion in this exact year after this exact weeks viral events, whether you admit it or not.

@Saddle - you're really bad at this. I can't be associated with an argument with you any longer.

Good run though Cleveland. On to the next one.

Believe whatever you want, dude. I'm actually in the city and speaking with countless Clevelanders every day.

If anything, it seems that you were stung badly and you're still hurting badly over GS choking so you wanna shift it over to us and make it seem like we're tearing our hearts out over it.

The championship drought by the Indians was largely mitigated by the fact that WE JUST WON in June.

KD and the championship we won over you the year before already more than mitigate the sting last year had. Lol I KNOW last night was embarrassing for the "3-1" contingent. It's natural dude, don't sweat it.

Sure, the guys that got-off to coming back from being down 3-1 to beat the Dubs may have cried themselves to sleep last night.

But that doesn't come close to representing the city of Cleveland nor the majority of our fan-base, so I'm sorry that the memes and mocking your team and fans endured has made you feel that way.

You're like the only dude here that is trying to shove it down everyone's throats lol, and to me that says more about you and how it affected you than anything else.

Dude as I said earlier it is sports. If you can't take the hit back, don't give it. It's called **** talk, get used to it. We sure have. Your team was embarrassed in a VERY ironic way, and I will laugh at the city for it.

PS - in case you didn't realize, the 3-1 jokes were from Lebron's house (you know - newly die-hard Indian Fan Lebron), not a random Cav fan. THAT is why it is so ironic/hilarious/awesome that you all went down like that.

It's baseball though. The true redemption doesn't happen for 6 months.
