So Allen Iverson during his Hall of Fame speeches/interviews indicated about a dark moment for him where during his rookie season, a player totally "destroyed" him as he put it which lead Mo Cheeks to sit him down and give him some advice.

Me being the uber fan did some research via basketball reference and I have found the game:

February 26th, 1997
Sixers vs Suns

Kevin Johnson stat line
36pts on 13-22fg , 2-2 3pts
8 asts
2 stls
2 to

Allen Iverson stat line
8pts on 3-15fg , 1-5 3pts
6 asts
1 stls
4 to

A nice snippet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2W6dNcMEug

KJ basically said A.I.'s crossover on him caused his retirement.

I wonder if anyone can find video footage of this game.

I made so much money on betting so called experts years back as they were saying The Answer wouldn't be a first ballot HOF'er

I pulled a 50 Cent and laughed straight to the bank with those racks on racks

thank you Allen The Answer Iverson putting up a 1st ballot HOF career, sincerely

Yeah it was the February game, AI cried in the locker room after it. I saw alot of Phoenix Suns games back in the 90's but i dont remember that one.

You know you're getting worked by KJ when he goes 2/2 from downtown lol

Ironically, that was one of those weird seasons where KJ started taking more threes and was actually pretty effective at it. His three point shooting throughout his career is quite odd.

My favorite KJ moment...

Speaking of which, Dream was actually known for being on other guys posters back then...especially this first one. I had this poster.

But I think this was the worst of all.

Was there ever a team more stacked at PG than the late 90s Suns?

J-Kidd, Steve Nash and KJ all teammates.

I knew I was about to see David. To be fair. Not nearly as bad as a 6'2 KJ and a 6'5 JR Rider though. Shaq would do that to everybody. And those are peak Shaq vs pst prime David.

I really did have the JR Rider though.

But that was Shaq in Orlando vs D-Rob a year after his MVP season. Rethink this good sir

Yeah, I don't think I need to. He was jumping his highest in Orlando and had already pulled the backboard down to the floor.

Rethink asking me to rethink Shaq's dunking ability next to KJ and Rider.

He was cramming **** at his most dominant when he was an apex power player IMO. Either way, if you want to say that was higher jumping Shaq vs PEAK D-Rob then go ahead, but dont twist it the other way around.

Well then I guess we saw higher jumping JR Rider and KJ vs peak Hakeem. Still one is somewhat expected, and one is embarrassingly pathetic.

Why? The argument works both ways, Shaq is a dominant dunker and its more impressive that Hakeem never got destroyed to that degree. Not that any of this matters cuz we're talking about a dunk

KJ did destroy him to the same degree and he is a foot shorter. Its not close to as demoralizing because what KJ did was amazing, what Shaq did was normal.

I dont know about that, to me it D-Rob was eviscerated far harder than Dream (and hes taller) but why you including clips of old man Hakeem or blocks with like 2 seconds left?
