Here we go, kicking off #17... Remember, this is based on RIGHT NOW, not necessarily who was the best this past season, or who will be the best. It's a tricky debate, how much do you factor in the playoffs? Injuries? Team-fit? Etc. Here's what we have so far:

1. Lebron James
2. Stephen Curry
3. Kevin Durant
4. Russell Westbrook
5. Kawhi Leonard
6. Chris Paul
7. Anthony Davis
8. Paul George
9. James Harden
10. Draymond Green
11. DeMarcus Cousins
12. Blake Griffin
13. Jimmy Butler
14. Klay Thompson
15. Damian Lillard
16. LaMarcus Aldridge
17. ???

16 should be LMA.

I'm leaning towards Irving but I'll reserve voting just yet in case someone makes a great argument against it (like they did with LMA last thread).

Gotta be Melo here, he should have gone #16 at least... LMA is not better than him now or going forward.

Wade-Melo-Irving

Outta respect we gotta get these guys off before exiting the top-20. Irving for his 1RS+2PS, Melo for being a similarly skilled scorer toiling away in mediocrity but seemingly capable of higher efficiency if he had some semblance of support and Wade simply because hes been the best player of the 2 overall.

Karl Towns, the best two way basketball player left on the board.

it's not close. usually things are close, this is not.

Melo/Kyrie

Lol at wade top 20. I cant wait till this season starts and by mid season he isnt even a top 35 player.

If hes that good, then he should easily get the Twolves into the playoffs, like a 6th seed at the least.

Went with Melo.

I think Im leaning that way too. Is this more of a projection type thing where you think Melo will have a better season or do you feel he was better last year?

I could see it happening, the odds are stacked against him but we're not suppose to project much here. Wade played better than Melo and Kyrie all year and his playoffs were nothing to scoff at. Hes in the discussion but I would agree that those 2 are more likely to hold up if not improve upon last year. Wade is in dangerous territory with his age/mileage and that hes joining a new team with a ball dominant PG.

Wade was spectacular in the playoffs, but cant ignore how much of a net negative he was on the court during the regular season. I would put Melo & Irving above him.

Lol John wall... I didnt realize he has been as good as he is. Over the last 3 seasons has kyrie/wade/melo been better? The dude just had a 20/10/5 season for a PG... 42 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3.

It's Kyrie but I can't be mad at a OG like Melo or Wade, in a playoff series I'd take those two over a lot of players on this list....

This one is tough...

Irving, Melo, Towns & Wade.

Melo & Irving are scorers for there teams; Wade is a money time player but he cant handle an entire regular season.

Towns is the future, i just dont know if he is going to make that jump how everyone is thinking.

Leaning towards Irving or Melo.

I think he will have a better, more efficient season than last. This is assuming the guys who joined can be healthy at least the majority of the season.

Less of a burden maybe, and possibly a chance to facilitate a bit more.

I'm gonna go Kyle Lowry, with Millsap following him.

Melo hasn't been that good the past 2 years, shooting percentages are down and terrible defensive ratings.

Lol. Melo's defense was league average last season. Looking at the stats, melo's defense was better than 1/2 the people on the list and on the poll.

People just like to say Melos defense is bad. Melo put the work in last season and was slightly above average for most of the season, until April.

It's easy to say "he has no defense" based on his bad off the ball defense from previous years. But last year, he was average or slightly above average in all defensive facets.
