A legend. My prayers go out to his family.

This season is for Thurmond. Let's get this title.

Taking a break from trashing anything Warriors related for the day. Truly an underrated player in the AT Redraft and in reality. Poring one out for 2nd best offensive center and 2nd best defensive center of his day. Shame he didn't get a chance to win a ring but I truly think he was a year away from winning it all. Gave KAJ and Wilt the biggest fits imaginable and he had the greatest baldbeard combo in history.

He also sports the most shredded pic of his time: http://oi40.tinypic.com/292xmra.jpg

The original quadruple double!

This is the guy I point to whenever somebody says Wilt was just playing against 6'6 white dudes and there were no good centers in the league back in the day.

The fact that the league was so deep at C that a guy like Nate Thurmond had no hope of making an All-NBA first team just proves how good the competition was. This guy would have made prime Dwight look like a chump in the current era.

I would have loved to see Thurmond play in the 90's or even today. To watch him against Hakeem, D-Rob, Ewing, Shaq, Mourning and Mutumbo would have been great.

The league misses players like Thurmond.
