Actually the Pacers declined his 4th year team option, which had to be decided last summer. So he became an unrestricted free agent. They really regret that decision now.

showed promise in the playoffs and he's young, but still, a ton of money for an unproven player...

At least there's upside and potential though unlike the Mozzy deal...

Agreed, the only redeeming factor is his upward trajectory but man, has anyone made themselves more money in the playoffs? Dude was suppose to be a non-factor.

I think you guys will be happy with how good of a defender he is. He can defend 3 positions. He also had a great improvement in 3 pt shooting out of nowhere this year.

He is a perfect 3 and D guy for the future and the Pacers made a mistake by not picking up the last year of his contract for just over 2 mil.
