Good deal for Brooklyn.

Sources: Lin's three-year, $36M deal with Nets includes a player option on third year, trade kicker and bonuses.

Great Value! Hopefully he can revive Linsanity in NY too bad its not with us but he wouldn't have worked with DROSE. Best contract of FA so far.

Can see him opting out after 2 years, especially if he shows he's a starting caliber PG over the next 2 seasons.

Nets continue with the Knicks' sloppy seconds.

They keep going after former Knick players. I guess hoping that knick fans that were fans of certain players will watch them too or something becaause of that player being there.

Never liked lin, but this seems like a solid deal with what everyone else is getting

3/36 for Lin, played well last year

4/64 for Mozgov, placed at end of bench

Wow, someone has a great agent and the other has an idiotic one.

Seriously this deal suprised me big time in a good way

I take ish for half salary 10 out of 10 times. Brooklyn just signed a role player and they needed a max talent. They just took themselves out of a lot of potential cap absorbtion deals. The money is decent, but this is not a good idea imo.

Hes better than any point guard you have.

How? They still have over $40M in space.

Brooklyn Nets cap situation. Still over $40m in room left after the Lin agreement. http://yhoo.it/290iC0n

This is how the Nets going to slowly dig themselves out of their hole find the steals and build your young guys.

Should be a good deal. Lin was good in Charlotte after fizzling elsewhere pretty much. Nets were reportedly interested in Rondo, so that should be nixed now. No clue why Rondo wanted to play there, if at all.

Bad deal. Like someone mentioned, Ish Smith got half of that while having more potential. Lin is a mediocre and inconsistent player. Dragic's contract looks better and better by the day.

My mistake. I also noticed that my quotes haven't been working, so my posts probably seem random AFz

Wouldn't want that fellow anywhere near my team but it isn't the worst signing in the world. Th price is right I guess, good for him he really milked Linsanity for all its worth.

He's a decent backup. If you're expecting a quality starter to run the team prepare to be disappointed and routinely molested by the opposing PG...

I don't get this Ish Smith love. Maybe I'm still too stubborn about how bad he was in Orlando, but the dude is a atrocious defender and an empty offensive stats guy with bad efficiency. I'd take Lin at twice the rate in a heartbeat, and I don't know if I've really ever said much nice about Lin.

And stop using the word "potential" with Ish. He's turning 28 in a few days. He is what he is...and there's a reason why he can't stick and thus has played for basically 1/3rd of the teams out there at this point.

He has gotten a lot better from his time with the Pelicans and the 76ers. Some guys get better later in their careers. Dragic was a late bloomer. Smith is going to one of the best coaches in the game today. Ish is a great fit for the Pistons because he can run the backup point without pressure.

Been deserving for a long time but forces outside his control have always gotten in the way. He was suppose to be the man in Houston, then they landed Harden and he refused to play off the ball.

He landed on an LA team that wasn't interested in winning. The tank commander put him on the bench despite being one of their best players.

Great in Charlotte off the bench and like he always does, was able to fill in as the starter with the teams star gets injured.

It seems he actually took a paycut to find the right situation. Not only is this not the worst signing, it's one of the better values this offseason

I'd definitely take Ish over Lin.

Ish could actually be a legitimate starter.

Nets don't care about winning.. this was purely a marketing tactic to draw ticket sales. They have no intention of winning anything. Neither NY team does, sadly.

Based on what?

Ish will never be as good as Lin has been and hes even worse defensively

Figured as much but didn't want to come across as picking on the guy. Nets are CLEARLY trying to maximize their wins.
