I just fixed the Red Sox record Soxfan. You had them at 34 wins but they have 36, same record as Baltimore.

Getting 7/8 wins on this 10 game homestand would be nice.

Thank you for fixing it.

Before anyone whines, its not Pric's fault offense needs to score

Unfortunately, this is the kind of game that an ace has to win. You'll have games like this in October (if you get there).

Understand that. I agree Price needs to be a little better. But our offense needs to execute. This was Price's 2nd start in a row where the offense had many chances and blew most of them again.

Orioels = Orioles

I don't know what our record is with the Orioles but they seem to own us, no matter who is pitching. This is going to be a long season if we can't turn that around.

This offense is something special. We better find some pitching down the stretch.

I'm not watching the game but is E-Rod tipping his pitches?

We've made some good contact tonight. Everything is hit right at someone. Haven't even struck out yet.

I don't believe so. He's just made a couple of mistakes to a great hitter in Jones.

I think we will be seeing Clay back to rotation and E-Rod will be sent to AAA. 4 bad starts. Needs to correct that.

@TomCaron
Not a good trend for E-Rod:
5/31 6 IP 2 ER
6/5 5.2 IP 5 ER
6/11 4.2 IP 4 ER
6/16 4.1 IP 5 ER

Wouldn't say those are all bad, 2 earned over 6 is a quality start, even 5 over 5 and 2/3 is enough to get a W more often than not the way our offense is producing.

I'd rather let E-Rod have some growing pains and see if he can't figure it out before July. We'll know then if we need to go get a starter at the deadline or not. Otherwise we're betting on him to figure it out in the minors, and relying on Price's game to rebound as it usually does in the last 4 months.

I think either way we'll need some pitching, but knowing for sure whether or not Rodriguez is going to help carry the rotation from August out will signify the kind of pitching help we need. If he's still struggling, we could go for broke and get one of the top 2 or 3 guys (Names like Gray, Sale, Teheran), rather than a MOTR type of guy to provide depth. Whichever route we go, we play the hot starters down the stretch and in the playoffs.

EdRo is clearly not yet confident in his injured knee to throw with conviction. Taking time to build that is worth the investment. Not sure what to do about the rotation in the meantime. Someone (Speier?) mentioned that he went through a similar episode in 2014 (knee injury with the other leg leading to poor results) and surged in the second half so there's some hope for a stronger second half.

LMFAO, 3 pitches, 2 runs.

Lord have mercy, where do we get these erratic scrubs to fill out our rotation. I want Buchholz back and I can't stand seeing his face.
