Once again this year users on the forum partook in an all time snake redraft with players over the history of the sport we all love. GMs drafted players based on their 3 season peaks and assumed 100% health. Via the draft and trades they tried to compile the best team they could. Please look at the teams posted below and decide which one would win in a 7 game series. The higher seed has home court advantage. After you've carefully thought about which team would win, please vote on the poll. If you can't please post in the thread stating which team you think wins and I can add it to the poll

(4) Azkaban Dementors

PG: Jason Kidd - Jason Terry
SG: Manu Ginobili - Jerry Sloan
SF: Tracy McGrady - Chet Walker
PF: Horace Grant - Spencer Haywood
C: Robert Parish - Brad Daugherty

vs.

(5) Rosh

PG: Gary Payton (37) | Sidney Moncrief (11) | BJ Armstrong
SG: Sidney Moncrief (24) | John Starks (24)
SF: Detlef Shrempf (30) | Stephen Jackson (18)
PF: Tim Duncan (33) | AC Green (15)
C: Marcus Camby (24) | Mark Eaton (20) | Tim Duncan (4)

I'm curious who Rosh sticks on McGrady. This could decide the match up.

Shammys team is so insanely overrated. Rosh takes this one pretty easily

I think insanely is a bit of a reach but i agree with this post.

I'd put Sidney Moncrief on TMac and Schrempf on Manu. In this series however, I would play Starks a bit more and Schrempf a bit less because Starks matches up against Manu a bit better and can still spread the floor. Schrempf's length would make Manu's life a bit tougher, and I don't think Manu is athletic enough to take advantage of the 6-9 Schrempf.

My perimeter defense is going to give TMac and JKidd a ton of trouble, disrupting the flow of their offense. Squid and Payton are two of the only perimeter players ever to win DPOY and they're both two-way players. Kidd vs. Payton would be a great back and forth matchup, as would TMac vs. Moncrief. But where Shammy's team doesn't have a real answer is the best PF of all-time, Tim Duncan, going against Horace Grant.

Neither Grant nor Parish are all-time defenders that would give Duncan a tough time in this series. Parish would also see a heavy dose of 2 DPOY winners in Eaton and Camby, which would limit his scoring.

I think my team matches up pretty well in this matchup, being able to put two Defensive Player of the Year winners on Shammy's two best players while having Duncan dominate his matchup.

I like Rosh's team. Deflet on Manu sounds pretty bad but I don't think that will change the series.

Lucky.

I like Shammy's team more than some (apparently), but Rosh has one of my favorite teams in this, as I ranked him higher than anyone else.

I'm on the "Shammy's team is overrated" side, and I'm also on the "Rosh's team is underrated" side, so yea, I'm voting for Rosh. The T-Mac matchup is bad for Squid or Payton because T-Mac's length makes his shot impossible to effect for even good size matchups let alone smaller guards, but that's the only thing Shammy really has going for him here imo.

I actually liked Shammy's team, but I have to be honest I loved Rosh's team more. I thought they were the most underrated team in this.

Rosh's defense is simply too filthy to ignore, while those same excellent defenders are still capable of producing on offense as well. Rosh's team in 6.

Whilst I believe that Shammy's team is better, Rosh's team seems built to beat them. It's an easy choice here for me but it goes to 6 games.

Maybe the only post I've ever agreed with.

If your answer in an all-time redraft is "I would play John Starks more..." that's scary. It's not like you had 3 and D specialist Danny Green ready to come in and win you the redraft...

To answer the poll, I'm a huge fan of Rosh's team. I was glad to see he woke up and fixed his team before the rankings. I called them a sleeper before the playoffs and think they could go on a run with that defense and Duncan leading the way.
