I've known Smart to be a great defender but this was ridiculous. Is this a rare occurrence or does he flop more than average typically?

He flops a lot. It is completely infuriating because he is such a great defender (especially for his age) that he really doesn't need to resort to this kind of BS. Maybe it youth manifesting itself etc. But his flopping I think has started to hurt his reputation with the referees. He never gets the benefit of the doubt when he drives to the hoop.

Then Korver threw a shoulder into his face and the foul was on Smart. The whole thing was ridiculous.

He was legit hurt at the end. Pro wrestlers don't take bumps like that on hard surfaces.
