The Mavs will probably have a miracle or two, but I don't see anybody who can slow down Russ.

I think there is a big gap between he 4 and 5 seed in the west. I don't see any upset in the first round, or any 7-game series. I say OKC in 5; Dirk will still have a big night, and the Mavs may win a game, but KD has been playing AMAZING basketball over the last quarter of the season, and there likely isn't a better all-around player than Russell in the league right now. Plus they have somes, and Ibaka is a great defender.

On the Mavs side, it sounds like Parsons is already out the door, and though Dirk is Dirk, he's not MVP Dirk.

I didn't realize Parsons was shut down. He's been glass fragile it seems but he's a pretty good player when he can be on the floor.

lol, please

Harder for me to root for the Mavericks now that they lost Ellis.

Rooting for the Thunder here. Not enough little flashbolts running around PSD. :laugh2: MOAR THUNDER FANS PLZ.

I just think that KD & West have something to prove, and it begins game 1 vs the Mav's.

I think it goes 6. Barea and Dirk thinks it's 2011 again, and it's not crazy to think they might upset OKC which the media has ignored as a contender with most analysts taking Spurs, Cavaliers & Warriors as probable champions. I think OKC is a threat, but first they have to handle Mavericks. I think it'll be harder than most think.

OKC in 5. Dallas take one game convincingly and almost steals another.

Even with Parsons they would be getting rinsed in 4 games.

Parsons would get 2 quick fouls when he gets caught in a transition crossmatch and end up on the bench.

And people were still wondering why Houston let him walk? I thought he was somewhat overrated and it has come to fruition. He's not part of their Big 3 and I'm awake now....

OKC is too loaded for the Mavs (which says a lot). Sucks that Dirk has to play with such a depleted roster but it's probably going to end up as a sweep looking at it. Westbrook/KD didn't even have their average game and OKC still ends up decimating them. Spurs vs OKC will be F-U-N.

yea.. there was something in place about only having a certain number of threads stickied at a time... stickying them all would be ideal, i was going to see if that'd be ok with the higher ups lol

OKC have the most boring offense of the top teams out West. I hate it, if it wasn't for the talent of Westbrook and Durant it would be unbearable to watch.

If Durant starts hitting some of these shots, they should be able to pull away. Mavs are hanging tough thus far

Yea, they had some let downs for sure. And Carlisle will usually have his guys running their offense and generating decent shots. Important for OKC to run their offense and be efficient. Or WB/KD could just go off cause they can lol

So, 56 seconds to go, you call timeout and the shot you get is a 3 from the 4th worst volume 3pt shooter in NBA history? Does anybody believe that was the plan? Is it the coach or is it the players who are keeping this team making these kinds of decisions?

Gander13SM

Westbrook is by far one of the worst closers in this league (for a top 10 player).

Good news is I made some decent money tonight thanks to Dallas.

Mavs had a great game while Durant had arguably the worst game of his career. Still confident we win this series. BTW, why is Waiters still playing in this league? I don't want to see this dude anymore. Every time he touches the ball, bad things happen.

This just shows how amazing Carlisle is as a coach. The Mavericks have no business winning even one game against the Thunder. Even at full health, the Mavericks lack the quality of players OKC has... yet they win game 2.

Clearly, Carlisle is the 2nd best coach in the NBA.

Can't count Thibs as he's not a coach right now :)

And while it's early I think Kerr may make that list by next year or so. He made the adjustments needed to win a title and his out of bounds plays are comparable to Stevens' ... those are 2 things great coaches do and they are things that are not lessened by talent.

They are horrible for getting the calls right? They made several mistakes this postseason, but now we expect them to let flagrant 2's and tech's go unpunished because OKC was going to win anyways? :eyebrow:

Well, for one, the slap on Justin was not a huge deal. Durant tried to help him after that and also made several attempts to apologize. It wasn't a huge hit and the ball was well within reach for him to have made that accidental contact. Refs just trying to prove a point or something since all their GSW vs HOU and Detroit vs CAVS mistakes..

With that kind of dominating scoring he has, he doesn't have to play much defense for me as others can step up. Besides, he won't be the only one who is a below average defender, not the end of the world. Durant need to calm down and just play his game imo.

Much respect to Dirk Nowitzki for playing at an elite level at age 37. He is one of the underrated players now. Most people have Aldridge above Dirk, but the regular season means nothing. Come playoff, I'd still take Dirk. I'm glad he is still able to carry the offense when it counts most... too bad his team was injured.
