The Houston Rockets will sign forward Michael Beasley, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.

Beasley, 27 was named MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association earlier this week. He averaged 31.9 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game for the Shandong Golden Stars this season.

The Rockets’ deal with Beasley includes a team option for next season, reports Stein.

A former No. 2 overall pick of the Miami Heat, Beasley played in brief stints for Miami each of the last two seasons. In 2014–15, he averaged 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 24 games.

Harden, Howard, Josh and Beasley together... This should be fun.

The aren't worrying about chemistry at all, they are just signing players like crazy.

Yep, that's exactly what they need. Another lazy, no defense playing, bad shot taking, mental midget. Congrats Rockets for quickly becoming one of the bigger jokes in the league this year. Seriously what in the world are the Rockets doing?

Getting ready for their offseason runs at Cousins and/or Whiteside because they want to bring in some stability :) ... and KD of course.

Seriously though ... Mike Conley would be great for the Rockets, but I think he or Harden would kill the other within a month.

I don't know why they got rid of Lawson..
Lawson
Harden
Beasley
Smith
Howard

What a team that would've been..

It's all about analytics.

Josh Smith and Michael Beasley are both dead ends, from an analytics perspective. But you knew that and was just being ironic, right?

Can you still make "smartest kid in special ed" jokes in 2016?

Beasley and Durant are childhood friends. Dude won't play a minute for us but will be a key in recruiting Durant lol. Sneaky move Daryl…

Also, I don't think there is any way Durant is coming here but I would bet that his relationship with Durant has more to do with the signing than him actually playing and helping the team this year.

Who cares it's for 20 games. If he works out then good, if he doesn't then no big loss. Similar to josh smith last season.

I wonder what Lebron or Cousins would average in that league.
