as bad as this was the fans were completely horrid tonight... The knicks are horrible no doubt and they are in a bad spot for the future but the fans were just flat out disrespectful tonight... The team is bad but they are giving their all... I watched the game and was shaking my head. Melo is busting his *** on the court and gets disrespected so much.

LOL that was so embarrassing lol would've been funny if the crowd started booing. Their reaction was priceless though.

They saved that for Jose Calderon. Melo has no lift anymore. A lot of people would argue Melo's game doesn't require a lot of athleticism which is true but his jumper is falling flat. This is his worst mid-range shooting season in 4-5 years. His worst 3pt shooting season in 6-7 years. His worst shooting percentage at the rim IN HIS CAREER. Put that all together and you are looking at his worst TS% since his rookie season. There is no logical reason to expect a bounce back either. Still a very good player saddled with a terrible team but not a great player anymore. My avi needs a face lift.

Iève watched a LOT of NBA games since around 1988 to now. A lot. The only time I've been watching a game and saw fans boo their own team in in New York. And I've seen it more than once.

Like Jesus.... they must be the $#!TT!$T fawking fans to play for. I don't mean to single out any individual fans here. I'm sure there are lots of loyal fans. But in terms of fans in attendance? Jeez.. I've been to Detroit games where Detroit played like $H!T and there were a losing team: I've never heard fans boo their own team.

Why are NY crowds like that? I realize they pay a lot for tickets, but so do LAL fans and they lap it up when Kobe goes 2/18.

It was so bad tonight man... I know losing sucks and its infuriating but the knicks have tried to do whatever it takes to put a team on the floor and win and it hasnt worked out... Booing like the fans did last night and the antics by several individual fans is just disrespectful and a slap in the face to all the players working their *** off on the floor.. I couldnt believe the **** was happening when watching the game and I am all for fans being out spoken but the knicks are not losing because of lack of effort.... Just flat out a shame and a joke last night.

Can't really speak towards why the Knicks fans are booing them but this year's Rockets team has been booed by their home fans at least 5-7 times. I do feel it's deserved here though. When you have a team that should have been contending for a title and they show zero effort against a team like Brooklyn and lose at home, they deserve to be booed. Again, can't really compare that to the Knicks because based on what you are saying they are playing hard, Rockets are not.

It's hard to explain Knicks fans to people who don't live here but that booing comes from passion. They are loyal they show up through thick and thin but that doesn't mean they are obligated to cheer on the **** that is regularly put out there. They are tired of it.

You guys are really going to sit there and criticize the fans for booing this team ? This isn't Philly, they weren't throwing things at the players, making threats, causing riots. They were booing a team that was supposed to contend for a playoff spot this year. Knicks have an over the hill superstar, the highest paid president in the NBA, a head coach who just liked a porn stars masturbation video on twitter, a starting PG who is allergic to defense, something called Sasha Vujacic who shouldn't be playing for a D-League team let alone the Knicks, and to top it off no draft pick in the upcoming draft so they can't even tank.

I'd say it's perfectly fine to boo as long as thats as far as the fans take it.

The fans booed because the ticket prices are ridiculous and they expect to see a team that can play tough. I'm not questioning effort but for some reason the team stop playing hard on defense and it's sad

I do feel bad for Melo. He is busting his *** every night. I would trade him just so he can win somewhere else. I would root for the guy. Can't see him in this mess no more

IMO that's what happens when publicity/hype and reality collide. Media sell the story of a great Knicks team, Zinger the savior, Melo finally have NBA talent around him, Zen Master is on our side, we are going to the playoffs, etc... Then this happens and they can't believe the "******" effort that AMAZING team is giving.

I mean I've had knee surgery in one knee and I have patellar tendentious in my other knee, as well as multiple ankle fractures and I can still dunk on a regulation hoop but sure.

Damn man wtf, how in the world did you end up with all them injuries?

Mama bear had bad joints.

Naturally loose tendons, a few freak injuries.

First dislocation happened jumping over a couch when I was like 13. They fixed me up without surgery, but all the ligaments around my patella were stretched out, and I was prone to subluxation and dislocation ever since. Other knee just developed tendonitis over time, doctors say because it was over compensating for the weaker knee.

Ive dislocated my left knee 7 times, 3-4 hyperextensions on top of it, and surgery to tighten and repair a couple of partial tears and stretched out ligaments.

Ankle fractures were from really bad rolled ankles. I jump better off one leg than two, my left leg, and my left ankle is basically trash now.

I'm only 25. It sucks. I wear a knee brace daily, I cant do much in terms of building strength back up in my knees so I have to do a lot of light weight, high rep stuff. Still in physical therapy two years after my last surgery.

Not fun.

I've also broken both forearms and dislocated both shoulders.

Damn bro sorry to hear that, that ****ing sucks. I dislocated my shoulder playing flag football when they popped it back into place it was the worse pain ever, also fell down the stair in my home and severely sprained my ankle. But that's crazy hopefully you can pull thru, the fact that you're walking today is remarkable

Supposed to contend for a playoff spot???? Really?

They're still over performing overall, though they have of late been playing to expectations.
