Not that this kind of career record counts for much, but tonight LeBron eclipsed Kobe as the all-time leader in points in the all-star game.

Kobe (280) was ahead of LBJ (278) by two points. Tonight, LBJ outscored Kobe by 3 points, putting him one point ahead of Kobe.

To put that in perspective, the next closet active player is Wade with 173 points prior to tonight's game.

Durant has 156 heading into tonight's game and did make up ten points as he outscored LBJ 23 to 13.

The crazy thing about this is that LBJ still has another 5 or 6 All-Star appearances to go yet, barring injury of course.

He could really push that record pretty high, though KD seems like he's on pace to catch up.

They need to dramatically increase the winners payout and eliminate the losers payout and then it will have a chance to be a real game.

196 points? That's not basketball.

How many all star games has he won doh? That determines the real best ever ASG winner because Championships even ASG TITLES count for everything.

What's the point here? Who cares about the all star game? Not even the players do.

I don't know how they get the players to start caring about the All-Star game, but this is the best option I've heard. You're going to try a lot harder if each winner gets $1 mil and the loser gets nothing.
