View Full Version : Realistically, how far does Wade climb the all time scoring list?

Wade will be @ 41 after next game, but currently tied at 42 with Bernard King with 19,655 points. I think he can pass Robert Parish at 26 with 23,334 points.

He just turned 34 about two weeks ago so I would think he's got a good 2-3 years left before he calls it a career barring any major injuries or large drop in production. If he can average about 70 games per year (unlikely) for 3 years (a stretch) at about 17 PPG (yup another stretch), he would get to roughly 23,225 points.

Bonus: Where does he finish all time? I think he can finish top 15 all time.

Well Wade is on pace to finish this season at #39. Assuming three more years at declining levels my best guess would be he finishes #24-26 on the All Time scoring list. Somewhere near Vince Carter, Charles Barkley and Robert Parish.

Top 15 could have been realistically attainable if not for multiple injury shortened seasons. At this point, unless he somehow plays into his 40's (Extremely unlikely), it's just not possible. Top 25 is the best he can hope for imo. In time and assuming health, Kevin Durant will pass him, and possibly Stephen Curry as well.
