I can see there is a lot of l. james protection that goes on around here.

I'll start it out since everyone else is scared.

Julius is light years better.

LeBron was better. My Portland Trailblazers came back down 0-2 in the Finals to beat Dr. J's 76ers by attacking his defense head on.

The Spurs beat Miami in the 14 finals by attacking LeBron head on with Leonard.

Leonard got everything going in their offense during those finals. Averaged 20 points on like 12 shots a game on 60% shooting. It was one of the best offensive perfomances in Finals history in terms of ppg and EFF.

Also Durant averaged 34 a game on 49% shooting on LeBron during the 12 finals. That's a ton of points scored in lebrats face. 160 someodd points scored in lebrat's face during that series.

For the record defense is also rebounding, blocking shots, team defense and steals.

Erving used to average 14 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Then would deflect or change another 15 plays.

He used to help keep Bird down to about 19 a game which was big for the Sixers.

I see we have some biased people in here that don't believe what they're saying. They didn't even bring an answer for an hour until I put Erving first.

LOL. Doc was average at best defensively outside a few years. Bron was **** as a teen (duh), good as he matured and elite for about 2 years and now hes selective with it again but overall, strikes me as an average defender overall (tho his individual numbers this year are quite strong).

That's not what happened.

Where is your proof.

Erving averaged 30 ppg on 55% shooting 2.7 steals, 1.2 blocks, 6.5 rebounds and 5 assists

WTF you mean that isn't what happened? I have the DVD, I've seen every game in the series in its entirety lol.

Bob Gross, who averaged 11.4 PPG during the regular season scored 16 and 10 points the first two games and then the Blazers shifted to attacking Dr. J on defense and Gross averaged 19.3 PPG the rest of the series (including 25 and 24 points the final 2 games).

The whole 'defensive rating' and 'defensive win shares' are things I don't understand, but I looked them up.
