The Cavs are playing right into Curry's hands on that PnR double team on the perimeter. It was interesting to hear Webber's comment right there about Draymond allowing Curry to be the superstar he is, but Curry single handily created a 3 on 2 for Draymond there. Dray's definitely the perfect compliment for him on the PnR, but offensively it's certainly Curry making everyone else better, not the other way around.

I think the issue is once again we dont see much of an offensive system. Plenty of individual talent (maybe most in the league). And in the big games, Kyrie and Lebron tend to dribble a little too much and go 1 on 1. It does work occassionally, but against a top defensive team it looks bad when its not working. Might be a personal battle too.

A) Rose IS done as a dominant player, so I'm not sure what your point is there.
B) Noah is done (well he was already a shell of himself, but now he is literally done)
C) Are you saying the Bulls are better than the Cavs?

Bulls have a +1.4 net on the season, and are 6-4 their last ten. They're not a great team by any measure. Would be 6th or 7th best in the West.

Wow here are some crazy stats that I just saw from ESPN about the Cavs/Dubs game:

-34 plus/minus for Lebron tonight (lowest on team). That's the worst plus/minus of his CAREER.

The 43 points they were down is the largest deficit he has faced in a game at any level of his life.

Love+Kyrie are 13-47 from the field against the Warriors in the 2 games this season. 2-17 from three.

Lebron/Love/Kyrie combined to score 28 points total. 9 fewer than the previous worst combined total for them in a game they all played.

Transition points were 31-2.

The 16 1st Q points by Curry was the 13th time a Warriors player has scored >15 in the 1st quarter this year. The rest of the NBA combined has done it 3 times (6 each for the Splash Bros, 1 for Draymond).

132 is the most points a team has scored on Lebron in a home game (regulation).

Not trying to be a boasting fan here. Those stats are just pretty nuts.

I find it odd that some fans think JR Smith didn't deserve a flagrant for running over Barnes.

Honestly don't think I'm looking at this as a Warriors fan. JR ran him over theoretically to get through the screen to Curry but he went on the outside shoulder of the screen rather than inside (where Curry was) and he wasn't even looking toward Curry. It seems clear to me that he knew full well he'd get a foul for doing it ... and he's don't it before and got a flagrant that time too. He just wanted to be out of the game and figured he could get a little back in doing it.

http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2016/01/jr_smith_ejected_in_third_quar.html

The officiating was strange ... Shumpert fouls out and Delly doesn't get a single foul called on him.

If plays like that happen every week I'm not seeing them. JR ran THROUGH Barnes. I don't think anybody can argue that that contact was "necessary" with JR not even running to the shooter so it's certainly a flagrant 1. And it certainly seems excessive when you see Barnes head snap forward when his body was blasted back and he landed on Curry's lower leg.

To me that seems the definition of a flagrant 2. It was intentional, unnecessary, and it was certainly excessive.

PHI is simply a better team with ONE of Noel or Oak on the bench. Brown himself basically said the two don't work together. He was trying to win the game and picked Noel. Can't blame him for that. if he had bought Oak in and PHI's run was ended then people would say "why did he go back to Oak when Noel was leading the comeback"?

nah, he charged up and ran from like 10 feet away gathering his momentum. That was not a basketball play, he was trying to hurt and knock over the screener. it's not like he was blindsided by the screen, he saw it from far away. i was surprised one of the commentators didn't think it was a flagrant.

They played fine in the first half together. We went down 13-14 in the 3rd bcuz we kept taking jumpers and stopped feeding Oak then took him out. I get the hot lineup thing, not the first time Brown has done that (Landry/Holmes played the entire 4th recently in a win) but once OT his subs needed to made.

Ish Smith is a serious baller.

I look for him to get cut, benched, or traded soon.

He's messing up the Philly program.

Nah they got him back for a reason.

J.R Smith call was a flagrant 1 at the very most. Guys make plays like that every week and don't get ejected. Refs were harsh.

I didn't think it was ejection worthy either, but after watching the replay again and as Scoots pointed out, that was clearly the definition of a flagrant 2 ejection. Totally unnecessary by him, he did it to plow through the screen and try to send a message, also because I'm sure he realized his man was about to drill a 3 in his face (Curry's knee damn near got taken out in that play by the way. That could have been BAD). Beyond that, this is something JR is already known for along with all his other goon *** plays. He's the leagues reigning #1 POS/cheap-shot artist with Artest fading away.

Secaucus made the call putting a stop to it before things got out of hands on national tv. JR shouldn't have been tossed on that one call alone, flagrant 1 yes, not 2. The game was out of hands, JR has done this in the past and the Association does not want a brawl to break out. Good call by the NBA.

Oh and how about the classy act from the self-proclaimed King? Lerun sat in his coaches chair the entire 4th quarter, there was no other seat for coach Blatt unless Blatt wanted to sit among his bench players. The poor coach had to stand the entire blown out 4th quarter. Not sure what Lerun was trying to do here, what message was he trying to send? The message I got is.... LeRun is an idiot.

Thing is, Lebron was planning on having a big night, and was especially fired up due to the "champagne" comment from Curry.
When LeBron James finished up his media address after shootaround this morning, he walked away asking reporters why no one asked him about Curry’s comments. He said he had an answer for it. http://news.yahoo.com/lebron-james-says-answer-steph-214054668.html

And remember that Lebron push off? Curry had an answer besides that first three he drilled on the other end directly following the play. 5 second mark here. He swings Lebron to the ground and drills the 3. This dude is not ****ing around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1HydOxgF_A.

I think he officially closed the book on Lebron as King last night.

I remember Shump doing something very similar last year against Dubs and he wasn't ejected.

I think it was excessive and his rep played a big part in the decision.

It's a textbook flagrant 2. The contact was absolutely excessive. Did you look at the replay in the link I posted? That's what the refs were looking at. Watch Barnes head and body and watch JR's body before contact and his attitude. If it was not a flagrant 2 they would have been challenged on it and JR probably would have done something else to get tossed.

The King is dead.

Long live the King.
