If anything Christmas Day games especially in the NBA are not only special because of the fact that teams get to play on Christmas but it is Christmas and Christmas Day games are always a treat to watch. Therefore, that being said as for teams who I think should play on Christmas for next season definitely are the Boston Celtics especially since I am a Celtics fan but also seeing a team who has never played a Christmas Day game that being the Toronto Raptors because the Raptors have never ever played on Christmas at least I don't think. Other teams who rarely play on Christmas if ever at all are the Hornets, Timberwolves, Bucks, 76ers, Magic or even the Pistons.

However the teams that I nominate are the Celtics and Raptors mostly.

Well this season was first time in 12 years Bucks since appeared on TNT. 12 years ago was versus Hawks when Big dog was traded to Hawks.

76ers would have to be the late game so people could sleep after Christmas dinner.

Honestly it should always be the recent finals teams.... then the last 2 teams eliminated in the East and The west... Example...

Cavs/Warriors
Houston vs the Clips
Chi vs Atlanta
Mem/Was

see... keep it simple. : )

Id seriously try to always add the spurs though.... This year id have gone something like...

Cavs/Heat
Spurs/Warriors
Clippers/Thunder
Bulls/Atlanta

This should be 100 percent about National ratings and not who hasnt been on lately and so on.

Sixers Lakers early for comedic effect. We all need a laugh after heavy touching family moments.

If Raptors get far in the playoffs maybe next year. I would rather see the Celtics and Lakers face off for history sake, rather than another likely blowout by the Clips.

Yes I would want to see the Celtics and the Lakers for Christmas Day history but I really do want to see the Raptors on Christmas

To add to it, they should make them play the early game out on the West Coast...

If they are going to stick to 5 games, then the first game should always be two East coast teams, and the late game should always be two West coast teams. The middle three games should be East vs. West, with the prime time game always being a rematch of the Finals. One of the three middle games should always be Lakers vs. Celtics, regardless of how those teams are doing.

For all we know they may not even make the Finals they could most likely will but we are what halfway through the season a lot of stuff can change

you have the Lakers playing twice. There really is no reason to have a West coast team playing at noon EST, since that would be 9am Pacific and no one would be watching basketball.

I nominate whatever team has Rakeem Christmas on their roster...

Knicks v Nets yearly at noon on Christmas would be fun. Two teams in one city having a rivalry game to kick off Christmas Day. Allow the families to have time together.

2:30 ECF loser V possible good team from the east.

5:00 Finals Rematch

8:00 WCF loser V top west team

10:30 Close out with another 2 team 1 city rivalry of Clips V Lakers

As a note if any of Knicks, Nets, Clips or Lakers fall into Finals, WCF, or EFC category they get replaced by a near by rival.

I nominate no teams play from Dec 24 to Dec 26 as well as Dec 31 to Jan 2.

christmas day games are for when the league wants to hand-pick matchups they know will draw in ratings. As a result, I don't see the Raps getting to play one then unless 1: they develop some kind of intense rivalry someone wants to see or 2. they become contenders.....no, they are not contenders right now.

Not the Lakers, please.

I feel Christmas should be a combination of the best teams and rivalries.
