Ugly game from the Heat and Wade today but we got the W so it's all good. We want Wade shooting the shots he shot today every time they just weren't falling. Our team is badly missing Johnson and McRoberts off the bench. They'll definitely help when they get back.

Bulls are smacking the Thunder on their homecourt. The East is definitely better than the West this year in my opinion. Feels good after how much **** people have been talking about the East.

smh OKC. I hope they realize that it's time to make some changes when the trade deadline comes. The team around Durant and Westbrook is horribly built and you can see it when they play against good teams. They are like 7-7 against last years playoff teams. At this point I give them no shot against GSW in a playoff series.

Typical Bulls. Play like world beaters against the best, suck against the below .500 teams. Record should be much better considering how this team is capable of playing.

Warriors have found the perfect counter for Dirty Delly and his physical defense. He overplays Steph on every possession so he just goes back door. One of the best at cutting back door I've seen since prime Wade.

Cavs have actually played some damn good defense. Combine that with the Warriors running a bunch of isos and Steph missing half of the 2nd quarter while Cavs starters played Klay + Warriors bench... that's why the game is close.

Fun so far.

Wade and Bosh are better than anyone on your team not named LeBron. Hell you could make an argument for Whiteside too. Curious to see what we add when the trade deadline comes around. The only thing hurting us is inconsistent 3 point shooting.

Really inconsistent. Was shooting horribly at the start then was at 85'ish% over 15 games. He chokes at the end of games so him missing at the end of this one was normal.

I see I just don't remember him being near this inconsistent from the line and I don't see how you fall off that much in something so easy. Maybe he's got a lingering injury or something throwing off his balance.

@Veerex LBJ looked very out of whack and sloppy tonight. Warriors defense is the real deal, and is why I can see them repeating, but I think this game says a lot about Love.

He's a very good player, but he's been for the longest time, the most overrated player in the NBA not only on this board, but nationally too. When this guy isn't hitting shots, he's invisible and just racks up counting stats. No impact whatsoever and that's gotta change if they want to win. I don't think CLE can rely on their supporting cast either, been saying that even after the trades they made last year.

GG. Cavs gotta answer back in Cleveland in several weeks

If there was a time for the cavs to steal one against golden state, it was today. Curry was playing on one leg and the warriors were missing a starter. Also klay had an off game.

Also with irvings career injury history, there is no telling when he will miss some more time.

I hope this game solidifys the championship for the warriors. the cavs can no longer say "well if we had love and irving it woulda been different.

And we've also lost to the Timberwolves. What's talk record against us the last 20 times we've played? I have no doubt in my mind that there are at least 3 teams in the East better than yall. Us the Cavs and Bulls for sure. Especially in the playoffs where yall gave one of the worst performances I've seen from a team who thought they were legit.

Thank god we didn't (Winslow). Also gave much needed rest to Wade and Bosh. Give me Wade and Bosh over anyone you have on the big stage. Yall got swept and Lowry was all smiles the last game. Definitely not who you want leading your team. Also don't forget the amount of injuries we had last year and all the new pieces we had to put together. Not making the playoffs was frustrating but now it's a blessing. Winslow looks like a young Butler/Kawhi and if for some reason Riley doesn't want t keep him he is a great trade piece.

To be fair Warriors did a brilliant job defensively. Couple of missed ones that should be gone in but really the Cavs weren't just having an off game they were getting shut down. Especially in the second half.

Saying "Irving isnt back yet" is meaningless when Bogut and Curry are playing through injuries. Barbosa was injured in the first half and didn't return plus Barnes is sidelined. Their head coach still isn't out there and they played sloppy as hell with the passing.

Two starters playing through an injury, one sidelined completely and missing your backup guard for the second half is a lot more severe than a guy coming back and shaking off rust.

Come on.

When your team has more excuses than Championships you have a problem.

It is what it is. The Cavs need to take it on the chin and move on. This is only one regular season game. Playoffs are a long way away.

I'm responding to a guy who was implying that today was our best chance to beat the Dubs. No excuses were being made. Why are Dubs fans so insecure?

I have been saying their team isnt the talented beast everyone assumed for a while now... glad to see someone else sees it... They had to bring all their guys back even with over paying to have any chance though because of the cap... People were trying to say they were more talented then the warriors... Lol what a joke... James will have to be James of old in the playoffs for this team to stand a chance in the finals... They are probably the 3 or 4 best team in my opinion with the spurs and warriors clearly better.

Lebron in the finals gives a healthy cavs team a chance to beat the warriors though. Honestly people want this team to be the favorite and be the most talented just so they can say James choked if he loses the finals but clearly its far from the best team.

Russell really needs to work on any kind of defense... I dont see it like others have stated about his defense... He is so so so slow and cp3 is literally having his way with him and its like CP3 isnt even trying.

That being said... Russ offensive game  I don't see that at all, co3 is busing clarkson who defense is worse than Russell's . Russel has only played 11 mins barely we even girded cp3

A lot of close games. To be fair to the Thunder, they had a huge chance to win the game, but their 3rd quarter hole was too much. Can't expect to come back from 16+ each night, but cutting it down to 6 in the 4th shows that they were making it a ball game again. Very ugly offensive games today too.

1. Cavs went into warriors home court and lost by 6. with Kyrie clearly very rusty. I think we can all agree on that. Past 3 games show the rust. Also Lebron missing some huge free throws at the end. So as a cavs fan im fine with the loss. and we shot 31% lol this game should not have been close. The warriors are a better team right now, But a healthy Irving will change everything.

2. You say Cavs are the 3rd or 4th best team in the league. so what? They are the best in the East which is all that matters. They only have to play 1 west team.

3. People need to take notes from Delly and Shump on how to play Defense on Thompson and curry.

1. Quit making excuses. Cavs fans are the worst for that. Irving wad rusty? Warriors were missing a starter, a head coach, had two other starters playing through injuries and their back up guard sat out the second half due to an injury. And you shot 31% because the Warriors made you. They played you brilliantly defensively in the second half.

2. Agreed.

3. Nope. Delly was fouling Curry on nearly every play but it didn't get called. And Delly was overplaying Curry which lead to those back door cuts. Delly played Curry badly imo.

I'm responding to a guy who was implying that today was our best chance to beat the Dubs. No excuses were being made. Why are Dubs fans so insecure?

Edit: Also, you're kidding yourself if you think the Dubs were brilliant defensively. Cavs were clanking wide open shots all game.

Who told you I was a Dubs fan?

I'm just tired of seeing Cavs fans make excuses every five minutes. It's mind numbing. They can't accept a loss. Might be the worst losers in the history of the league. It's always the refs fault or "the cavs beat themselves" or "we weren't 100%"... when you have the two most injury prone "stars" in the league not named Rose, yeah, you'll NEVER be 100%.

And you're kidding yourself if you think the Dubs weren't brilliant defensively. Cavs were too btw. But again this just goes to show the Cavs fan mentality "oh we were just missing all our wide open shots" "The Warriors? They were missing because we're the greatest defensive team in nba history"

Smh. It's pathetic.

Both teams missed easy shots. Both teams missed free throws. Both teams had bad calls from the refs. Both teams played excellent defense. Both teams can play better offensively.

But it is what it is and the Cavs lost.

You're spazzing out when all I was basically saying was, "Hey we weren't nearly at our best either." Scroll back. That's all I was saying. You're making more out of this than was originally there.

I made absolutely no mention of the Warriors shots and why they missed some. Dude why are you putting words in my mouth? All I said was that the Cavs missed an absurd amount of open shots all game. The fact that it rattled you shows it's true.

It was the 2nd worst shooting performance by a Lebron-led team in which he played the whole game IN HIS CAREER. Everyone who watched the game saw it. The Dubs giving up so many open shots were not brilliant at all.

I know the Dubs ARE a brilliant defensive team and can play better defensively than they did yesterday. I'm not trying to argue with you dude, but you're being hyper-sensitive and it's rather ridiculous. Chill out. Dubs are the better team, I just want my Cavs to get their getback next time we play.

The first half they gave away open shots. The second half they absolutely owned your team defensively.

And it's not a coincidence LeBron shot terribly last night AND in the finals. It's called Andre Iguodala. The second most intelligent perimeter defender in the league.

It's just moronic that Cavs fans are always looking for an excuse. You were outplayed. That's it.

Scary thing is. Warriors can play even better defensively. As you said.

And they can certainly play better offensively.

Again. It's only one regular season game and I dont see why cavs fans are so hell bent on making excuses all the time.

Don't want to delve too deep into this, but there's something to be said about fans taking cues from their teams' players/coach. What he's is saying is really not much different from what Cavs players said post game, and quite frankly they (players) should have that attitude. Offensively and defensively, they didn't play that well contrary to what ESPN writers will tell you, but were still in the game. Thing is, neither did Golden State (a lot of missed open looks & too many turnovers) and on top of that they were missing significant pieces, including their head coach and Harrison Barnes. Curry was clearly less than 100% as well. Bottom line is, both teams have room for improvement. One regular season game isn't indicative of anything. I will say though, that despite how off the Warriors looked, I was impressed they came out with that win outside of their comfort zone (a lot of points and high 3pt shooting %). They relied on their defense and it stymied the Cavs, especially in the second half.

Gander, I'm only saying this because you're coming across as really sensitive here. Remind me of Goose in a way. There was plenty of trolling done in this thread against the Cavs and I just decided to laugh at it. I showed my fiancee these sequence of your posts and she called you delicate.

2nd half was improved defensively for sure by the Dubs. I believe it was improved, but not brilliant. We still sucked on our end by not converting. Iggy's defense is fantastic, and you certainly deserve to be happy about that.

Let's examine the sequence of our posts:

Me: Good game, Cavs gotta answer back in several weeks.
Dude: This game was your best chance to win. (lists number of reasons Dubs weren't at their best)
Me: Well, we weren't at our best either (lists a couple reasons)
You: NOTHIN BUT EXCUSES YOU CAVS FANS ARE ALWAYS MAKING EXCUSES

Like... wth, man? Both teams didn't play their best. Dubs were missing pieces and hurt (Brandon Rush sucks horribly), and the Cavs were bricking wide open shots (especially in the first half) and Irving clearly isn't his normal self. Yet you're the one freaking out here over nothing.

Dubs could roll into Cleveland and stomp us in January. Or, the Cavs might beat them. Don't see the problem with this.

"Again. It's only one regular season game and I dont see why cavs fans are so hell bent on making excuses all the time."

So we agree... Warriors destroyed your team defensively in the 2nd half. Both teams can play better. It's only one regular season game and the Cavs were outplayed.

That's it. Simple.

Also I don't care how it comes across. I have no horse in this race. I just love great basketball. And I'm tired of seeing Cavs fans on social media making excuses every time they get beaten.

"We aren't at 100%"

"We beat ourselves, played badly"

They do it more than any other fanbase. And for a team that's never accomplished anything in the entire history of the league, I find it arrogant and just plain rude. The fanbase as a whole needs to learn how to lose gracefully.

That's the one thing the Warriors fanbase could always do. Lose respectfully and accept it... They're not so great at winning though.

Cavs fans are bad losers. Warriors fans bad winners.

Again, collectively speaking. Not talking about any individuals.

Lol you're being delicate, dude. The sequence of our posts show that, anyone can go back a couple pages and see that.

1. I'm not agreeing with you. You originally said:

To be fair Warriors did a brilliant job defensively. Couple of missed ones that should be gone in but really the Cavs weren't just having an off game they were getting shut down. Especially in the second half.

That's what YOU said. The Cavs weren't having an off game. I completely and 100% disagree with that. I did acknowledge that the Warriors defense did improve in the 2nd half, but I disagree with the notion that they just shut us down. They had key plays late in the 4th for sure.

So no, I'm not agreeing with your warped perspective.

2. I'm making you sound like a raving mad man? Anyone can go back and read the sequence of our posts. You're terribly overreacting. Normally I'd just say that, but you're showing a pattern of this everywhere you post and so my conclusion (along with my fiance's buuuut that doesn't matter) is that you're just emotional.

Show me where I was making excuses other than simply letting a guy know that in addition to the Dubs missing pieces and not playing as well, the Cavs weren't at their best either. You're the one with the short-temper about excuses and "when you have more excuses than championships" and the reason LeBron was inefficient was "One name and his name is Iggy."

We all get immature sometimes on this board but I guess you're just that way all the time.

Let me quote that again to make it more obvious for you

"The Cavs weren't JUST having an off game"

Is it clear yet? No? Let me try again.

"The Cavs weren't JUST having an off game"

Can you comprehend what that means? It means I acknowledge that they were having an off game but that wasn't the only reason for it. It means they weren't JUST having an off game. They were also being defended extremely well and as I said in the quote "especially in the second half"

Next time. Have your fiance read every post for you before you reply so you can actually reply properly.

This entire argument is because you misread my post? You actually agree that both teams played bad for stretches and Warriors played brilliant defense in the second half. You agree with what I'm saying.

And now you claim that when I state a fact like Iguodala being the main reason for LeBron's poor shooting (that you previously agreed with) I'm being immature?

Okay if you want to break down your statement word for word:

The word "just" in your statement can actually be interpreted in two different ways.

1. It could mean "in addition to having an off game, they were getting shut down"

2. Or it could mean "they weren't simply having an off game, instead they were shut down"

You also said, especially in the 2nd half. That gives the implication that you were saying they were shut down in the 1st half. And no, they weren't.

Also, I will repeat myself yet again:

You actually agree that both teams played bad and Warriors played brilliant defense in the second half. You agree with what I'm saying.

Cavs were outplayed on the night and lost.

It's only one regular season game. But Warriors, right now, look like the better team.

Cavs ran into a buzzsaw in Portland. Coming off a Christmas loss in which they got 37 uncontested shots (20 1st half, 17 in 2nd, and it was the worst shooting performance against uncontested shots all year), it's like they weren't ready for Portlands intense defense. Not championship caliber basketball and they won't make it out the east if they can't play well against adversity.

Was down by 22 in the 1st quarter and that was game.

I recall tons of Dubs fans complaining about missing shots when the Cavs beat them in the regular season last year (without the statistical data to prove it). To that I just disagreed and left it at that. People are going to disagree, that's just how it works.

The high-n-mighty attitude in every disagreement, arrogance in every discussion, and passive-aggressive threads created just to bash a specific player/team is the reason why this place is a ghost town. You simply cannot disagree/have an opposing opinion on this site. You go to other places (we all know the big one) and there's enough fans of every team that if you try to troll and be arrogant you'll get called on it and verbally shut down pretty quickly by the posters.

Every year it's the same with PSD - the fans of the championship team go to **** after winning, and the people who hate certain players (we all know who receives a ton of hate) come out the woodworks. If this was nipped in the bud back when there were tons of posters this site would be thriving. Probably too late now.

The Blazers beating the Cavs w/o Lillard has to be one of the biggest upsets of the season thus far? Just goes to show how lazy the Cavs got.

The degree of difficulty on the shots Wade hit in the 4th to win the game was ridiculous. Good young up and coming Magic team though.

Again the refs mess a bad call against the Magic. It's two games in a row now.

Referee Kevin Scott called a foul on Vucevic for hitting Dwyane Wade's shooting hand after Wade followed through on an errant jumper.

Vucevic vigorously protested the call.

Wade made both of his subsequent free-throw attempts, giving the Heat a 106-101 lead.

The NBA publishes its reviews of all calls and non-calls for all games that are within five points at the two-minute mark of the fourth quarter.

The league's review of the Heat-Magic game highlighted seven officiating decisions in the final two minutes. The review cited one mistake: the call against Vucevic.

In its description of that play, league officials noted, "Any 'high-five' contact after the release is considered incidental."

Whats up with his efficiency? Why hasn't he recovered like many said he would? Should he give up more control of the ball at this point?

Yeah they had multiple bad calls last game against the rockets they admitted they messed up. That's only in the last two minutes. Payton was fouled on atleast 3 drives with no foul called in the Heat game. Two of them came just before the two minute mark. He let the refs know about it, and he got the buckets anyway, but they should've been and1's. Some games are terrible to watch because you have an opposing superstar getting superstar calls while we have players like Fournier, Oladipo, Payton that can do the same exact thing on the other end and not receive a call.

I was thinking, how many calls do these guys get wrong? 5%? 10%?

Spot on. Few good posters left.

I have been sticking it out here despite the decline, but the fact that that other site name is censored here is really too much. I know the internet goes in cycles and I guess this cycle is coming to an end.

Yeah bt I don't feel too bad for Blake TBH lol. He at least partially brought it on himself with his flopping. And superstar calls are a real thing. Even commentators agree.

Oh well if the commentators say it must be true, guess I can point to commentators agreeing that he was robbed as proof that it doesn't happen lol. And I dont care if you feel sorry or not, I care about the facts of the matter and hes not getting the calls you suggest superstars get. Im sure he will eventually because I've seen the highs and lows throughout his career and the flopping is subjective, he doesn't flop as much as you think, he gets robbed far more often IMO. Of course thats just my opinion but thats the beauty about unsubstantiated opinions, so long as we both know it works both ways we can disagree.

You disagree that superstars usually get the benefit of questionable calls? You think the likelihood is the same as for rookies for example? That, I disagree with.
