Hoping my Cavs can find a good rhythm against the Magic.

Orlando was kicking our ***** last time we played and somehow we got lucky and turned the game completely around. Glad to hear Shumpert should suit up, and it's looking like Irving might play Tuesday.

I want to see if Shumpert can perform well and if we can do well defensively, I'll be happy.

Golden State being favored by >5 points seems too high to me. This is a very, very tough spot for them and I will not be shocked at all if they lose this game. Let's break it down:

* Boston = 13-9 with a +5.4 win differential which is #1 in the East

* Warriors are on game 6 of the road trip and are accumulating injuries

* No Harrison Barnes and a good chance there is no Klay Thomspson which means B. Rush and Ian Clark starting

* Boston has the 2nd best Defensive rating in the league behind San Antonio, and has a very good 3pt defense

Just a very tough spot for the Warriors. This game should be a 3 point Warriors favorite at most.

Rush and Clark are so exploited out there on both ends and Crowder + Bradley are just hounding Curry, great perimeter D. Gonna need a big night from Iggy and the bench if they want the streak to live.

LeBron is just that good. This Magic team is still young, when you play great defense on them and score easy buckets on them, they stop moving the ball. They start thinking too much.

12-11-2015, 09:12 PM
Celtics bench starting 8 of 9 against us is not exactly what I had in mind when saying Golden State needed a big night from the bench. Speights is looking like a D leaguer this year.

Lol I love listening to Tommy on the Celtics feed. The Celts get a couple favorable calls in a row and he just continues talking about something else other than the game. Literally does no acknowledge that there was a foul on the play or that they are currently playing. Warriors get a call, "you gotta be kidding me.. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!". I always get a laugh during C's games. He will never be forgotten.

Magic ended first quarter well. Lots of penetration and ball movement.

Ever since then they've been turning the ball over. Youth is definitely showing. They'll be top notch with more experience.

They're also missing shots.

Cavs looking like they did the 2nd half of last year. This has been our best performance all year.

Celtics D is tough man. Especially on the wings with Bradley and Crowder. Warriors stay up at the half but they're O is being challenged that is for sure (obviously the personnel has to do with it as well).

Curry's under an insane amount of defensive pressure but still playing strong. And Draymond is doing a great job on both ends hitting his open looks and staying aggressive on D. Look at this line for him at the half: 13 pts, 3 rbs 3 asts 3 steals 3 blocks

What's with these weird random foul calls

Refs are whistle happy in general, and they came to the bench to apologize to Curry after they falsely tagged him with that foul that sent him to the bench with a few minutes left in the third. Kind of glad they accidnetlaly gave it to Curry instead of Draymond though. He was more important that quarter and now Curry will be fresh in the 4th when he comes back.

Yeah, at first I wasn't too mad about it because Dray was playing so good, but since he went out with 3 minutes to go in the third, they've gone -13 to lose the lead and made one field goal in 7 minutes of game action.

Anyway, Curry back and makes the bucket on his first touch. Let's go!

Curry had 3 fouls and he wasnt even touching a player and the ref gave him his 4th foul when it was on another Warrior, so Curry came out with a Warrior 10 point lead and when he came back in the Celtics were up 5. The ref apologized to Curry and Walton but theres nothing they could do about it.

Zero chance on Barnes, he's still out for the week. We could definitely use Klay, but I saw some of the pre-game warmup tape and he looked really slow + had to leave it early. But yeah, if they don't have him again tomorrow they might just lose on fatigue. They looked absolutely gassed from pretty early on tonight, and those 2 OT's didn't help. Curry even admitted he's exhausted which I never hear.

Just looking at the Wilt/West/Baylor 33 game streak for the Lakers in '72, and they had a pretty fortunate 19-14 Home-Away split in that run. Warriors will play their 14th Away game in the first 25 matchups tomorrow. In the Heat's 26 game streak it was a perfect 13/13 split. The Warriors have yet to play a few of the toughest teams, but the road games do add up.

If the Warriors somehow manage to pull off tonights game after that 2ot bloodbath, it might be the most impressive to date for me. Their 4th quarter starting lineup was a flu-ridden-Barbosa, Livingston, Iggy, McAdoo and Ezeli (then the now super paltry Speights went in for a stint). Hence the 14-1 run by Boston where the Dubs went on the 7 minute 1fg made stretch with Curry sitting due to the refs mistaken foul attribution in the third. But, i don't know if the Warriors can trot out that lineup for any significant amount of time today and hope to win. Plus starting Rush and Ian Clark is just brutal.

You see why they're attempting to be the first team to go undefeated on a 7 game road trip. This team is so gassed. Another tall task for them against the young Bucks tonight after that brawl in Boston.

Edit: At first I considered the streak sort of secondary to the quest for a chip, but thinking on it more I do very much hope they do everything in their power to continue to win now. Listening to guys like Zach Lowe, Nate Duncan and Jeff Van Gundy talk on this, I'm coming to the realization that 73-9 and 33 in a row are actually held in higher esteem by many than a title. Titles come every year, but these #'s are etched in stone for only basketball royalty. Obviously the title is what ultimately solidifies these records, but there's plenty of time to go full bore now and rest later on in the year. And even if they do get a crucial injury in the playoffs or lose to a team like SAS firing on all cylinders, they'll still be in the first page of the Basketball history books for this season if they pull it off.

That said, I know they're burnt out. They may have to have Klay tonight if they want to keep it going, as unimpressive as the Bucks have been defensively.

IMO this game depends on which Bucks team shows up. They're as Jekyll and Hyde as any team in the league.

If the gritty, high-energy all-out defensive physical Bucks show up and they're also drilling the perimeter shots they don't normally make, they're gonna go ham on these worn out Dubs.

Yeah, and I mean you have to imagine they bring it. I can't recall ever seeing NBA regular season games like this where the opposing team is SO amped up to play (2010 Heat and Jordan's Bulls at certain are the only other two in the discussion). People following this in Boston said this game was just as hyped as when the Celtics were last in the Finals, and you can sort of feel it. It's a bigger story than everything in sports right now (over anything in the NFL for ****s sake which is absolutely insane for December). Needless to say, every opposing team knows they'll be on the biggest stage they'll be on all year and they all bring it.

Maybe the Warriors can manage the minutes properly now and instead of pushing the return of Klay and Barnes to protect the streak.

Overall, the schedule has been brutal for the Warriors so far this year which is rare for the defending nba champions. Most games played so far, most road games played, and a 14 day road trip and 5 games in the last 8 days of the trip.

Difference is the Warriors were on the final game of a 7 game road trip, 7-0 had never been done either so is it really a shock coming off a double OT game?

Lol he's being* a fool (sorry jerrell himself is not a fool). Of course this was a ''schedule loss'' for the Warriors, but man I wish they pulled it out somehow. Just too fatigued, though. There's a reason why no team ever has taken down a 7+ game road-trip, and they made that hilariously more difficult by ending it with a 2OT escape and a b2b. One of the biggest bets of my life was against GS in the first half of this game, but I admittedly followed my heart and took them to cover the 2nd half for nearly half the winnings. Unsurprisingly, did not work out so well.

Congrats on the best start to a season by anyone ever, GSW.

I feel sorry for their next opponent after 3 days rest.

ratings will still be high, and with that game in Oakland- I expect the warriors to win that game.... just to make the statement that clevland with a healthy roster doesnt scare them.

the first week of the season, the warriors played all of their western conference playoff match ups again with those teams healthy... and smashed each and every one of them again. LOl they also beat the clippers just for good measure.

I dont think the officials will allow a blow out on xmas, but expect the warriors to be ready for that one. I think irving will help cavs, but I think love actually hurts them in a warriors match more than he helps them.

Bucks knocked out Grizzlies being undefeated last season as well. Also we beat Cavs early in this season. Yet we have like only 10 wins. East is tough this year. Giannis with a quiet triple double and Parker with 19 points. Bucks schedule rough this month. We be lucky to get 2 more wins this month which are Lakers and 76ers.

1:15:07 Giannis is awesome.
