Magic on a 5 game win streak now 6th seed :). I'm not convinced they're a +0.500 team yet, but I'm starting to believe they could make the play offs. Its been three years (January 2012) since we had a 5 game win streak. It feels good as a fan to stop thinking draft and start thinking play offs. Next three games against a Clippers team without CP3, the Nuggets, and the Suns. All games we could win and hopefully keep the streak alive to 8 straight. Skiles is really getting through to these young guys.

I always thought refs didnt like to end the game by putting a guy on the line to shoot free throws...always thought they wanted the players to determine the outcome, but I guess wade still gets the ultimate superstar treatment.

No doubt, and as impressive as his stat lines are, unless you watch him, nobody realizes how special this kid is. He's big, athletic, and has such a smooth shot and a very impressive post game. I know people think Knick fans get carried away, but Knick fans have every right to be giddy about this kid.

The game just comes so easy to him. He effortlessly gets double-doubles. The way he's able to easily track down rebounds and hit 3's. He's truly one of the best rookie's I've seen since Anthony Davis. I just hope he doesn't get injured.

Damn, thought Lebron would cap off that excellent quarter with the win for sure. Now he's gotta go 45 minutes and then play a charged up game in Miami manana. Adrenaline should get him through that one though.

kdspurman
12-05-2015, 01:15 AM
I will never understand why guys like Lebron/Durant do this, especially Lebron with how he's playing tonight. He's been getting to the rim at ease, and then settles for a jump shot to win the game instead of driving it in and at worst you miss a layup or get fouled. It seemed like the paint was wide open, he just had to get by his man (Cunningham?) Davis was probably there for help, but he's finished around him several times already

Honestly outside of JR Smith early everybody on the Cavs including Bron sucked tonight, then the 4th quarter happened and Bron had his best Q of the year. Now it looks like the Pels could pull it out though. The Pels though man, they still do not look good as a team. Offense is so ragged and the defense is crazy poor, on switches especially. I guess that's why they're ranked last on that end.

zn23
12-05-2015, 01:25 AM
The Cavs were pathetic in overtime, in particular Kevin Love. You have to be able to get by Ryan Anderson... Instead he settled for two contested 3's and bricked them both.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter for you guys. You're going to be pretty heavily favored in any East series so HCA is not that big of a concern, and in the Finals I bet it's San Antonio or the Warriors, and you aren't likely to get HCA over either. These games should just be about staying healthy for your squad.

True.

We've been super careful with Irving though. He was able to dribble and shoot in October. I'd bet money he could suit up right now but we do wanna try to remember that being healthy is more important now.

12-05-2015, 01:39 AM
Just looking right now and Lebron's a career/current 37% shooter from 10ft to <3pt line, and he takes a quarter of his shots from there. And he's a current ~29% 3pt shooter. Also 22% from three in the playoffs last year and 28% from three during the regular season this year, and he takes another 20% of his shots from there. That's 40% of his shots that are at a super sub-par level, that's nuts. I wonder if/when this gets fixed. His first three years in Miami he had it down pat, but that might have just been because he had so much pressure taken away from him from peak Bosh/Wade.

I imagine this improves with Kyrie back and the team getting their offense to gel again. If/when it does they're going to be very very scary again.

tredigs
12-05-2015, 01:45 AM
Bulls in 1st place lol. Despite their lucky win differential for the record they have (+1.3 @11-5), I think they're being aided a little by having played just 16 games. That's a good amount more rest than the teams who are already about to play their 21st game tomorrow.

Doc loves his son too much. I dont want to believe he doesn't understand the modern NBA, why he forces us to play with 2 non-shooters on the perimeter is beyond me, we're already starting to non-shooting bigmen, why cramp up the spacing that much? I would understand when we had no options but Lance is so much better than Austin.

Another tough loss for the Magic. Crawford always kills the Magic, it's unbelievably annoying. Its ok though because at least it was a close game like most of our losses. Good to see Payton and oladipo both play well
Payton 21pts-8assists-4rbds-4stls
Oladipo 24pts-5assists-7rbds-3blks

I'm a little disappointed Skiles didn't put Gordon on Griffin, but then again Skiles has us above 0.500 so I dont know how much I should question him. I just think that for the most part you can avoid the double teams with Gordon guarding Griffin. Skiles himself is still learning his team obviously, but we need every win we can get to make the play offs.

Luke Walton leaving the starters in after Brooklyn wave the white flag bothers me. I know he said before that he's nervous about putting the bench in with plenty minutes left in case the other team makes a run, but you have to trust in your back ups to close it out with that sort of lead.

Warriors first quarter might be the best quarter of team basketball on both sides that I've seen all season. 2nd quarter might have been one of the worst.

Bogut clearly wasn't ready to come back, he had no lift whatsoever. Hope he hasn't done more damage by coming back too soon, you should never rush back from an injury.

22-0 and I'm pretty sure 12-0 on the road has to be some sort of record to start a season as well?
