Heat are not worth watching half the time. They either suck or play like they are a top 2 seed in the East. Either or.. never just one solid view.

Warriors need to win this one early, and not let inferior teams back into the game. Last night was a disaster (by warriors standards). They need to look to win by 20-25 points against the non playoff teams. Margins are important

Still working out some kinks. Didn't have our starters for preseason and our best player off the bench in Green is out with who the **** knows. I agree though we are up and down right now but it just shows how good we could be. I think it'll start being consistent here in the next few games.

There are games where I can comprehend the "Harden just gets calls" argument, but this is not one of them. The man made 14 of 26 shots, including 5 of 10 from the 3-point line. That's a great game for any wing player, and going to the line 13 times when he took 26 shots over the course of 40 minutes is hardly abnormal. Lebron, Durant or prime Kobe likely would have been to the charity stripe just as many times with a stat line like that. Give credit where credit is due for a change.

I'd be so happy if I was a Celtics fan right now. Having the Nets pick, they're a lock to have top 3 ping-pong balls and an awesome shot at #1.

Didn't watch the Rox game but that's a great win on the road. Efficient 40+ for Harden two straight games. Showing signs of life again.

Warriors were a mess last night. Both teams were really. At least they scraped together the win. Any road b2b victory is a +

Edit: Did just see CP3 was out. Still a quality win for them.

The Minnesota AND the Warriors game. I meant both games.

Anyway...

Warriors managed to win when they were playing awful offensively. I knew Steph would have to go cold eventually. What's crazy is they were up by 10 when Steph had scored 2 points and Klay 0. Their defense is impressive.

Minnesota game was fun.

Harden is a monster.

For all the James Harden haters, stop it! Harden is nor ruining the sport. Stop acting like Harden gets all the calls when he drives to the lane. LeBron gets the same love and attention each and every game. Harden doesn't only shoot 3's like Curry. Watch Harden's game. He has a nasty crossover, a step-back jump shot and he'll drive past you if he wants to.

Every NBA player looks for a foul each time they drive to the basket, it just so happens that Harden gets more of the calls because he knows how to draw the fouls.

Curry only shoots 3s? He's one of the best finishers at his position. His ability to finish layups in heavy traffic is second to none. He has one of the best floaters in the league as well.

Also. Steph's step back > Hardens. And Steph's crossover > Hardens.

But yes. Harden is a beast. He does flop and flail his arms around a lot to get calls but that doesn't mean he isn't elite. He's a monster of a scorer.

LOL well- he doesnt flop all the time, and even when he doesnt flop and he gets tackled (IE anthony davis landing on him in the corner at the end of game 3)- The refs say... "we only woulda called it if he missed" WTF- it was closer to a flagrant than it was to a regular foul but to have a no call is ridiculous.

If curry was trying to flop on all his 3s, he wouldnt make them at such a high percentage.

Yes. Most of the stars do flop on occasion. But some are more adept at it and some do it way more than other. Harden, Ginobili, CP3. There's just certain guys that seem to do it all the time. Doesn't mean other people don't do it. Doesn't mean they're not good players.

It just is what it is.

Htownballa1622
11-08-2015, 02:12 PM
Harden doesn't flop as much as someone like cp3 or Blake. What he does do that's worse than ANYONE is he'll hook the defenders arm and look to shoot and get call.

I hate it but that's the thing he does when he's isolated and he's not driving in.

On a fast break or when he attacks the paint ,for example, defenders are just dumb and he holds the ball away from his body getting them to swipe and hit his arm.

Gander13SM
11-08-2015, 02:22 PM
I disagree. Blake doesn't flop as much as he used to. Harden definitely flops more.

At the end of the day whether you like it or not you have to respect the ability to draw contact. Savvy. I'm not a fan of it personally but there is a level of skill involved. If it was easy then everyone would be drawing fouls like Harden does.

It wasn't an issue for people when Wade was leading Miami to a title I don't see why it should be an issue when Harden leads Houston to one (assuming he will).

FlashBolt
11-08-2015, 03:12 PM
I'm the only non-Rockets fan that defended James Harden but you guys are being delusional when you say James Harden can do more than Curry cause Curry can only shoot threes. The guy dominates you with his threes to the point where he has to sit lengthy periods of time. He would easily be cracking 40 points if he were cracking 40 minutes like Harden is. He also passes, is a fairly average rebounder, top five ballhandler, and one of the best finishers. You guys are clueless if you think Stephen Curry just shoots threes...

It was an honest question though.

I see LeBron drive the basket and get hacked like a christmas tree and he doesn't always get the foul call. I noticed that a lot on the playoffs last season.

But Harden.... I've never seen a player get calls like him. My question was why?

I remember watching Kobe in his prime and player would foul him just because they are trying to stop him. He would get favorable calls now and then...

But when I watch Harden - he literally just skips like a 1st grader into the paint and throws his arms up and gets fouls. If he's really doing something unique then every player in teh NBA should be doing it also

No.

To the Harden haters ... Harden has figured out what the refs will give him and he takes it at every opportunity. I honestly believe he grew the beard to emphasize his head movements so it looks like he's been hit when he hasn't. The problem is the refs not Harden. Harden is a genius for taking advantage of the refs.

See how many Youtube videos you can find of flop compilations to prove your point that a player flops? There's plenty of other flop videos if you're trying to target a specific player. It proves nothing, and your point is a poor one. Any competent NBA player that is looking to help his team will flop at some point in his career. Harden is no different. There's just more instances of him doing it because he drives to the basket a hell of a lot more than the average NBA player. But he's no different than any other superstar and he flops no more than the average superstar.

Pistons warriors you shouldn't worry.

Even IF our starters outplay yours, you then have a top 5 bench coming in against a bottom 5 bench. Your bench is going to murder ours.

Bogut is supposidly coming back- and festus is playing a lot better... not drummond great but better. Warriors will try to force the pistons to take drummond off the floor by going small. If drummond isnt out there- warriors feel they can murder the pistons in small ball.

Drummond is the first player since Kareem and Chamberlain to put up three 20-20 games in their first six games of the season.

The thing that gets me is the post moves. It's not like Whiteside/DJ/Dwight etc this guy has some legit post skills. His hook shot and up and under is so much better from what it was its scary.

This has been such a wild season. Steph dominating everyone. Drummond beasting in ways we haven't seen in a VERY long time. Teams like Memphis and OKC dropping games to teams they have no business losing to. Teams that looked like nobodies now looking like solid low seeded playoff teams.

I'm really enjoying this season so far.

Does Bogut realize that he's probably about to be shipped out soon because the Warriors are going to have to pay Ezeli Bogut money and Ezeli is looking better and better. Plus Bogut's always had injury problems. I can see Bogut getting shipped out for a young backup (cheap) center and a second round pick. The rest of the year Speights and Jason Thompson can handle backup duties especially when they go small.

They have so much depth in key places but I'm wondering how they're going to be able to keep a lot of those cheaper pieces, especially after those guys got a ring. I assume Speights and Barbossa are going to look to get paid next year and Livingston the next year (I think that's when those guys' contracts are up).

They have so much depth in key places but I'm wondering how they're going to be able to keep a lot of those cheaper pieces, especially after those guys got a ring. I assume Speights and Barbossa are going to look to get paid next year and Livingston the next year (I think that's when those guys' contracts are up).

Well I think when they play Green at center they're deadly. So I agree, Bogut is expendable with how Ezeli has been playing. And they need to save the money.

I don't think Livingston or Barbosa will be an issue. Barbosa wasn't even in the league when Warriors signed him, he's extremely loyal to Kerr given their history. Livingston seems to care more about winning than money from what I've seen but you never know.

Speights will want paid. And I think they're losing Barnes. But that's not a big deal considering there's plenty of wing men that can be had for less money and are much better than Barnes. I can already envision a three way trade involving Wilson Chandler going to Memphis to give them a shooter and a guy that can defend. Barnes going to Denver to help with the rebuild and Jeff Green landing in Golden State. Or something like that.

They'll be fine. With the raised cap they'll be able to fit most guys in. The fact that theyre looking like a future dynasty will help attract free agents.

It'll be interesting if they do decide to ship Bogut. I'm not sure who's desperate enough to take him. He's an extremely talented defender and one of the best passers at his position but at the same time his contract isn't very friendly for a guy that struggles to play 70 games a season.

Um, yeah... Whiteside has an offensive game down low, catch a game or 2 when you can. Miami isn't running the offense through him, so his offesnsive numbers aren't big on most nights, but when they do he puts up good stat lines.

Whiteside did very good against Drummond last season, I look forward to see their matchup this season.

Not trying to compare stat line.

His positioning is okay, footwork still needs a lot of work. And he doesn't sell fakes very well. Doesn't seal the defender like he should.

I've caught more than a few games of his. He's a decent player, athletic monster. But when it comes to fundamental post scoring he's got work to do.

Don't take it personally. He's the trend with big men now. You're either an unathletic but solid defensively and decent at passing type center or you're an athletic monster who fills the stat sheet due to your athleticism and reflexes/reaction timing not due to post skill.

There's very few guys in this league with great post ability, Al Jefferson, Duncan, Dirk and Cousins seem like the obvious choices. But really the modern game is moving away from that.

Still nice to see a guy trying to develop his post scoring. That's all I'm saying. Not taking anything away from those other guys. I just enjoy watching Drummond using a variety of moves rather than simply getting all his points on tip ins, oops, dunks and as the roll man.

2nd draft pick only got 6pts last game. Was he overrated by Lakers?

That video was titled "highlights". Russel has a lot of talent, but it's all getting buried under the pressure of saving the LA Lakers.
