Hey guys, can you PM me as well as VM me when I'm up. Throughout the day I tend to use the tapatalk app, which doesn't notify you of VM's.

I think that should go as a good rule of thumb. Because I think it would be a raw deal for someone to be skipped because they weren't checking VM's in an app that doesn't let you.

plan.. Run, run and run some more. Use Bo Jackson to pound it. Use gayers and Curtis to mix it up, and to catch lots of short passes. create mismatches. then, when they cant take it anymore, blow the top off with a deep bomb to the fastest man on the field, and the tallest calvin Johnson. The line we rebuilt for the most part the best line in the history of the nfl, the 90's cowboys line. Lots of nasty-ness. Will over power, and out dominate everyone. On defense, they will stay fresh, cause of the offense we run. Just play it safe. 4 man rush, zone coverage. Don't allow anything big. grind it out. haley, Harvey will get sacks. big man in the middle will clog it up to stop the run. Our linebackers are fierce, and our safeties are tier 1, and will intimidate receivers. We have turnover causing players.

idk.. he wasn't just a good football player either. was said to be the greatest athlete of the 20th century. won Olympic gold medals, played multiple professional sports, and was an all American...

plus, you start talking players before 1960, is there any player with better name recognition? I think everyone knows or has heard of jim Thorpe. and at round 6, think its good value.

first all time redraft, so I could be mistaken, but, IMO, you have an all time redraft, this guy needs to be in on it. :)

The negative when playing a game of peoples opinion is that its hard to have a accurate opinion of a player you never seen player before. Thats why so many people dismiss Wilt Chamberlin or Oscar Robertson in comparison to Michael Jordan, and almost surely 20-30 years from now people will dismiss Michael Jordan for some more recent talent.

Jim Thorpe and Jim Brown were greats because they both played other sports. In fact both had said if there was money (like any) in lacrosse that they might not have played football. Both altered the sport of lacrosse to where there were rule changes.

Yes but who is too say he dominated the nfl. Yes he was an exceptional athlete and that could have dominated in the very early years of the nfl and other professional leagues. I highly doubt there was that many players who were 6 foot 1 200 pounds who was as athletic than him and keep in mind the olinemen were genuinely around 220 pounds back in those days.

When he became a professional player he was 32 years old and wasn't a full time starter until his 4th season according to pro-football reference.

It is essentially a huge question mark and the only real way to make him worth a big early selection is 2 have him as a 2 way player but it would seem you are quite loaded at the running back position.

Question, if it's close, we more or less have autonomy when it comes to player decades, right? Like Lee Roy Selmon played from '76-84, so he has eligibility for both the 70's and the 80's, correct? The same is more or less true for Raymond Berry (he played more seasons in the 60's, but has far more accolades in the '50s). Basically, if they were relevant and the years were close enough, we can pick which decades to use our guys, correct?

Depends on what you're talking about. Can you play a tackle at either tackle spot? Yes. Can you interchange 4-3 DEs and 3-4 OLBs? Yes. Now, if you're asking if you can put a pure TE at FB or a pure WR at TE, the answer is no. Basically I don't care unless it's offensive skill positions, but I won't let someone twist the positional spots like that to gain a blatant advantage like that. I think that's the route you were going. If you have a question, just check with me.

Already can tell I'm going to love TLS' team with the Gifford and Pihos picks. Pihos is incredibly underrated having played (and won championships) with probably the greatest Eagle ever (aside from White, maybe) in SVB, but a true stud with versatility to play DE, WR, TE, and you could argue HB too IMO. The guy lead the league in receiving three years in a row playing mostly TE, which I feel like is pretty insane

Offensive Power Rankings:
Ok first off, this was made based on clubhouse. If you made a pick but haven't added it to clubhouse then don't come to the lounge or chatzy bashing for your low ranking. Update ya ****. Second, I tried not to hold too much against teams lacking oline or most of the players but obviously the more you have the better it (generally) ranks you. Third, if you don't like it, make ya own damn rankings. And finally, my team is excluded.

1. Steagles - like the dan marino, earl, moss, largent combo. Plus an already great sack evader has two great lineman in front
2. eskimos - great foundation here, elway has his share of fans/haters but he has been surrounded with some great talent. Warfield never put up gawdy numbers but was a phenomenal player for the 70s phins and will be a great deep threat weapon. Hutson is arguably the GOAT at WR while Dorsett will do well not necessarily having to be the bellcow.
3. raiders - good start here. Big fan of otto graham but he needs some weapons to throw too. He does have a great duo in sanders/harris and you have to assume sanders will be the lead guy. Still, I like the versatility Harris offers and with Parker/Allen in front, they can be a run dominant team. Could be one of the top depending on how it fills out
4. Jets - First off, F the Jets. Second, while I'm not huge on the Rodgers pick, this is a talented core. Berry and Irvin are great weapons for Rodgers while Jim Brown will punish defenses all day. Throw in a talented oline and you’ve got the makings of a solid squad here. Of course it could all go to pot depending on the rest of the draft.
5. Steamrollers - Montana is arguably the best so you can't doubt that. Like the balanced start but needs a run game and more weapons for Joe to work with. Sharpe will be their goto guy it looks like and given his abilities I think he will cause a lot of trouble for offenses. I put this team where I did because I like where it is going a bit more due to my assumption of it being a west coast offense where a RB isn't as critical as multiple dependable targets in the pass game. Sharpe is a gamebreaker and the line is formidable with Ogbagosh and Hannah.
6. bulldogs - I like this team but my problem is the dickerosn/smith combo. Are they starting together? Who's the starter? Emmitt was a great master of none but great at several and thrived behind a great offensive line, which this team has none right now. Really like the passing attack. Brady loves his TEs more than Giselle's deflated boobs (she snuck in for plastic surgery recently) and Mackey provides a fantastic wepaon for him. Plus Tim Brown is one of the more underappreciated guys IMO and will be a solid go-to receiver for Cheady.
7. vikings - AP and gifford are a nice combo but have to figure AP will be the main back with gifford spending time equally at WR/RB. Harrison and biletnikoff are a formidable duo, not the best ever but gives whatever QB they choose weapons. Real stars on this team are on the OL. One seen as the greatest of all time and the other one of the best Gs out there who can run to get up the field to block. like the potential depending
8. wolverines - good offensive line foundation, like the rice/faulk combo but needs more to fully assess where it is going. This ranking would be lower if not for the Rice factor.
9. Staleys - The more I look the more I like. Unitas is phenomenal and will have Winslow who can exploit mismatches all day. The offensive line can hold off the tough defenses enough for whatever run game is here to play and protect Unitas enough.
10. Triangles - Looking at the defense, this isn't an offensive team. LT, Favre, and Holt are great but obviously more needs to be done (and I'm sure it will be filled with underappreciated superstar gems). Favre's tendency for turnovers will be a concern and getting more offensive weapons in general will be needed. Holt is great but against these brutal secondaries he'll need help. This team is where it is because I like the core trifecta enough to think it has potential.
11. titans - some may **** on the aikman pick but I don’t hate it as much as others. Aikman worked with great talent around him and he has that with Lofton and Carter, the latter of which known for his phenomenal hands. Still, a lot of pieces missing and it could be solid or total garbage depending on who those picks are
12. Maroons - Solid potential. Like what Young can bring to a team with his versatility and SVB was a fantastic back in his era. Weak spot here is at WR and TE where Young flat out needs more weapons. His mobility makes up for the lack of an oline for now but will need to be addressed.
13. All-Americans - The talent here is great but unsure of the mesh. Peyton needs more weapons. While OJ and Bronko are great, I feel like their combined brutish doesn't fit a Peyton offense very well. Ozzie is nice but Peyton needs weapons to go against the tough defenses in this thing. Going forward though has some really strong potential.
14. Cowboys - There is talent on this team just some of it should have been around later. I love Bo but another weapon could have been added in his place. Sayers is a dynamite gamebreaker and Megatron has been a force. Has potential to not be a cellar offense depending on who is picked up going forward.
15. Eagles - I like Staubach and Allen but the offense needs work. Gronk is still relatively unproven but has proven to be a dominant player in today's NFL. Still, as a core trio, it is one of the weaker units (and taking one look at the defense will show you this team's focus)
16. Colts - This team sucks, no need to look further.

If Favre is turnover prone, then so are:

*Troy Aikman
*Dan Marino
*John Elway
*Roger Staubach
*Johnny Unitas
*Otto Graham
*Sammy Baugh

..and several other HoF/future HoF QBs that will be drafted in this. All of these guys had a INT% over 3%. Favre's was 3.3%. Only Aikman, Marino, and Elway were marginally better than Favre. The rest were worse by .4% or more.

Yes, Brett Favre threw a lot of interceptions. He also has like 900 more attempts than Peyton, and about 1800 more attempts than the next guy (Marino). He's not any more turnover-prone than like half of the QBs in this game. It's a stupid narrative.

I compare it to Jamie Moyer's comment when he gave up his 500th HR:
"You don't get that many chances to give up a bad play by being bad."

Basically Favre had a chance at that many INTs because he was good enough to be around that long.

I'm not a fan of that. Football is a game on both sides. Rating a team on half of it is silly. Do you rank teams by the offense only?

But if he threw interceptions at about the same rate as the top guys on that list, and significantly less than some guys like Baugh/Graham/Unitas, then how is he more "turnover-prone?" And if those guys aren't "gunslingers," then they just have the turnover-proneness with a lesser likelihood for big plays, right? If he's "forcing balls" and the end-result is a turnover about as much or less than these other guys, then it's a net win by the numbers.

It's not just you. It's a poor narrative surrounding Favre's career that just isn't true. He threw the most INTs of anyone ever because he had the most pass attempts of anyone ever. Yeah, he took chances that someone like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady or Joe Montana might not take, but he obviously came out on top a lot more than not. And he's more turnover-prone than those precision master guys, but not most of the QBs in this. And his ability to generate big plays due to his ability outside of the pocket + his creativity + his cannon arm is better than maybe any QB in this game.
