I was reading a thread about LaMarcus Aldridge leaving, and one commenter mentioned how no great free agents have ever signed with Portland. I looked it up, and Portland's history is pretty damn pathetic:
1. Kenny Anderson

5. Dorrell Wright
Portland has definitely been successful only through the draft and draft-night trades, although it's made some serious blunders there (Bowie over Jordan, Oden over Durant, trading down from Paul to draft Webster, drafting and immediately trading Moses, etc.). Here's my list for San Antonio, now that Aldridge is gone:
1. Bruce Bowen
2. Robert Horry
3. Avery Johnson
4. LaMarcus Aldridge (needs championships to move up list)
5. Stephen Jackson
