Lakers are idiots. That is honestly the best bargain contract of this offseason imo. Lakers starting C right now is Sacre lol

If Damian makes him look good, at that price they'll have an appealing tradable asset too. We better have something up our sleeve to let this opportunity pass.

Vonleh, Mason and now Davis this off season is pretty solid, especially for like 12 million.

I mentioned this in another thread; that we will strike out yet again on every free agent we targeted. It's so bad that we can't even keep the cheapest C we could have had. Now we are stuck with sacre at C! How much worse can it get for us??? I read we overwhelmed DJ and underwhelmed LA. We have become a joke. We better keep our finger crossed that Russel actually produce this year or at least show signs of stardom to help pull FA next year. Tanking is not an option since we have no incentives to do so. All the same I am going to always root for my lakers no matter what. Sad though

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] @tweetingmerc: Blazers gotta trade some of those wings for a good SG , maybe Derozan . Raptors don't have any bigs

You guys are nuts, lol. Lakers made the right choice. Ed Davis ain't worth $$$$ much. He also pretty much broke his word, saying he wasn't chasing money.

He wasn't chasing money. He was seeking 7-10 which was fair given this FA period of spending and the cap rising. They got him for 6.7, that is great value.

If the cap really is supposed to be 90+ million or whatever next year ed davis will be like 7-8% of his teams salary space. As a solid rotational big he is easily worth that and the following year it will be even better.

So with all the cap the Lakers have. Who will they eat? Not many free agents left. Last year they ate Lin and got Boozer from amnesty to get a couple names on the roster. David Lee? Joe Johnson? Both expiring contracts.

I hear we're the main team in a David Lee trade.

Hopefully he gets a chance to play. Ed Davis is one of the NBA's best kept secrets.

At this point, it would be somewhat of a consolation if we get David Lee, but I would think the Warriors want to send him east, or at least out of the division. Joe Johnson... hell, whatever. I honestly wouldn't even fret if the Lakers really did give Bynum another shot, what the hell is the harm?

What the hell happened to the blazers this offseason ? it seems like they took 30 steps back... first Batum got traded, then they announce that LMA wont return, and also Wes Mathews may be gone... for a bunch of role players  I don't get it for Portland.

They didn't announce it. LMA said he wasn't returning, wasn't their choice.

Where did you hear this? I have been looking for news/rumors about potential Lee trades and have not found much. Maybe with so few big men out there the Warriors can dump Lee and not have to give up anything extra to do so.

Never mind, I found it. Plus it is Ramona Shelbourn reporting it, who is a pretty big name.

I think what Portland is doing makes more sense than most. They were a great team but probably couldn't have a ship with that squad. Rather than go WAY into the tax to keep it together they decided to rebuild around Lillard. It's smart to rebuild if you are in the West. If the ultimate goal is to win it all it makes sense to rebuild. That said I think they may have made the biggest overpay in Aminu.
