It's a smart move. He's young, one of the top PG's and now he's locked up

Wow, Good move, but overpaid

He's one of the best pgs in the league, consistently averages 20 ppg, how's this surprising

Nice for Portland to get him locked up. When player contracts start exceeding 30 million, those that think this is outrageous will change their tune.

God I wish I was just a decent role player in the NBA now. Could've scored at least $10 mil a year [emoji1]

These are the exact same reactions that we saw here when Steph Curry signed his deal BTW.....

He's gonna have to average 30 PPG on his team

He actually averaged 21 PPG on 16.6 shots which is 1.26 Points Per Shot, which is pretty good. His TS% is 56%.

He may be overrated, but your evidence for why was woefully incorrect.

Agreed. And again...the cap will be rising. A ton.

oh same thing and technically 16.6 shots so closer to 17 and thats going to prob increase to 20+ looking at that roster. TS% might look nice but that 43% from the field doesnt.

But if LaMarcus leaves then Portland will truly become Lillard's team

Same thing? lol, you took away 1 PPG and added 1 shot per game. That's a difference of a 2 value swing.

Also, I'd much rather have a higher TS% than a higher FG%.

I do expect his TS% to go down as he starts jacking more shots up to compensate for the roster.

i didnt actualyl say those were his avg's though more just showing how he is able to score 20+ on avg. we seem to agree bout his value in this deal though. Plus add in his D is garbage

+ their first round pick next season, assuming they still have it. Should be a top 3.
