@WojYahooNBA: After Brook Lopez opted out of contract today, the Nets remain a strong frontrunner to re-sign him, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Lopez either stays on a 5 year max. Or bolts to any of the rumored teams with tons of cap. Believe Spurs and Bucks were two that were mentioned. Maybe Mavs if Jordan stays with Clippers and Chandler bolts while Mavs wining and dining Jordan.

Lmao. No thanks. Give me vucevic at 12 mill over an injury prone 20 mill/yr Lopez.

Why do all Knicks and Laker fans think they're front runners for every god damn free agent. Like what warped viewpoint are they all coming from? Because they're the NBA prized franchises they think they're going to sign 5 free agents every year? Is this the free agency you've all been waiting for, hoping it would stack your teams? Lol I can't wait when you guys get 1 player a piece and still live in mediocrity.

WTF are you talking about, there is 1 Laker fan on her who said Lakers, who else is saying they think the Lakers are the frontrunners. So many babies on here, always crying about the Lakers, get over it.

He would fit in perfect for the bucks. At first I didn't want Lopez when it came out we are trying to sign a top free agent center because of his bad defense and rebounding, but now that ive had time to think about it the bucks were a top 5 defensive team (I think 2nd) with Zaza as our starting center. We were a bad rebounding team already so the drop off from Zaza to Brook wouldn't be much neither would the defense, but he would be a huge upgrade on offense and be another scoring threat to add to a returning Jabari and a probable resign of Middleton. Jabari and Brooks shots would come from the shots that Zaza and Ersan were taking as well as Giannas and MCW not having to take as many shots.

IDK what Kidd and Brooks relationship was like but if it was good that may help lure him in. We could always do a sign and trade so he can get a 5 year deal as well. Maybe give them 2 or 3 1st round picks. They would probably be in the 20 to 30 range but that's better than him just walking and them getting nothing in return. They also add a few 1st that they could use since they owe/owed a bunch out from the Joe Johnson and Peirce/ Garnett trades.

Thoughts?

How does me being a Chicago fan have ANYTHING to do with the Lakers or Knicks. Both are irrelevant franchises right now. And don't think I'm a homer, cause I'm not happy with the state of my team either. And I don't have hatred towards either LA or NY. I just find it laughable at the attitudes coming from your fan bases towards every single free agent.
