No, he is not a good coach, he relied too much on LeBron and forgot to rest him and play his bench.

Umm..yes?

He's actually been a pretty good coach with all things considered.

He does, but James clearly don't respect him

If they fire him and hire Thibs I'm gonna throw a ****ing fit.

But if there's one coach who Lebron will respect its Thibs.

If Cavs did that, than God bless Irving and Love's legs because they would be dead before the all star break.

The defensive sets were fawking awful. There were so many times in tonight's game where I was just like: Did they set this defense to leave people wide open? And it wasn't even patient ball movement. I see the Spurs swing the ball around, making defenders run around until a guy gets open. This wasn't that. It was just a defensive set where guys are left wide open.

and Mosgov didn't look like much of a rim protector in the games I watched. Small sample size, I know, but even if Perkins isn't getting blocks, at least people are being given open lanes.

Part of this may be the players themselves, and I think that was it, but yeah... I think Thibs is the best option at this point. James likes playing heavy minutes. Thibs can make average players into great defenders. Of course, they'd have to trade Kyrie and Varejoa, because neither of them would last half the season with the load of minutes Thibss would give them.

I honestly believe that if Thibs was coaching this team, the series would have went the other way.

I think Blatt was over his head, but I can't see them not bringing him back after a finals appearance.

lol of course. I don't think he was as good as some made him out to be, but he was at least adequate at his job.

He was 2 wins away against the best team in the league from winning the NBA Finals in his first year as a head coach in the NBA while missing 2 of his 3 best players.

So yes, he's going to be retained.

Does he return or do they find another coach?

how is this a serious question? the man took a team to the finals in year 1 with no NBA coaching experience

I think it would be silly to fire a rookie coach who got his team 2 ways away from the trophy after significant injuries. If Miami fired Spolstra after losing to Dallas they might not have won the trophy the next 2 years. I think Blatt did a really great job keeping the Cavs fighting no matter what the score except for around the 3 minute mark last night when they lost their focus.

That's a question for Lebron. If he wants him, he will stay. If not, he is gone.

if not, who will be the next HC for the Cavs?

I expect him to be, but if he isn't, I see Thibs going there.

It really depends if LeBron wants him gone, honestly.

If Thibs is willing to come to the Cavs, I don't see why not.

Maybe he'll make Love a great defender lol
