I mean, there's not much of a gap between James and kd.

Kd:
Per: 27.9, ts%:.631, pts: 28.3, rbs: 7.4, ast: 4.4

James:
Per:29.3, ts%:.617, pts: 26.5, rbs: 7.2, ast: 6.8

Lebron has probably been better overall, and I didn't include this yr because kd was hurt and even though James scoring and efficiency was down, he definitely edges out kd because at least he's out ther still playing. But those are their basic numbers from 11-15. Lebron has the edge but kd has been right behind, blow for blow. These two are really the only ones that matter and cp3 to a lesser degree.obviously James 2 rings on that Miami squad put him ahead as well. But I wouldn't say James has been massively better as you would. Also kd average age 24.5, James 28.5. James has also been in the peak of his career, where kd is just entering his.

The team and individual accolades widens the gap a bit even though Lebron and Durant are essentially tied talent wise.

The top 3 is easy, IMO:

Lebron
Durant
Paul

Then it's really tough. Mostly because it's only been half of the decade. By the end of the decade I would expect some names like Wiggins, Davis, and Parker to challenge Paul and Durant for top 3. Westbrook could also be top 5 by decades end, and is probably 4th on the list currently.

Lol im leaving a guy off a list because he choked in the finals as a 2nd year player who came off the bench.

The Harden hate is real guys

Lets put wade above harden even though in the last 5 years he has literally missed a full season.

JasonJohnHorn
06-11-2015, 10:12 PM
LBJ
Durant
CP3

Those guys are the top three in that order. The rest of the list is a little hard, because it is guys who have either not accomplished much, or have been on the decline in that time period.

I think, in all fairness, you have to put Wade, Bosh and Duncan on that list, and likely Parker, even if they are all on the decline or put up less impressive number than they did before, because all of them have played at the highest level.

After that...
Blake
Curry
Harden

Westy
Love

Ad is coming up now, but he's only been an All-Star for two years, even if he was arguably the most valuable player on both ends of the court this season.

Wade plays defense

Harden was literally the worst defender in basketball last year and is one of the top 5 worst defenders from the time he has emerged as a star... Harden is a lesser version of Carmelo. For all the hype he got for being a better defender this year its only because he couldn't be any worse... He was the worst at his position again.

1. LeBron (from someone that admittedly dislikes lebron because of his god like presence. I put blame on the media more so than lebron because they created "the king" image and all that, I can admit when I see a one of a kind player (even though I also credit a good amount of his success to his freakish athleticism, but also credit him for building and maintaining prefect genetics into a monster) and someone that's changed the game and could contend for best ever when he's done.

2. Durant has been getting better and better until these unfortunate injuries. Hopefully he doesn't fall to foot problems like Walton.

3. Cp3 despite the playoff success has rejuvenated a franchise into legitimacy and has them battling the legendary Lakers for big brother status of Los Angeles (and seem to be winning). He has the talent, now he needs at least one deep run, at least a conference finals, and probably at least a finals appearance in most fan's eyes.

4. James harden. I thought the thunder got the better of that trade, but god damn was I wrong because harden has become an offensive juggernaut and mvp contender while leading a rockets team that didn't even have a major rebuild, into contention in the tough western conference. Hats off to him for making me look dumb haha.

5. Might be a bit of a surprise, but Russell Westbrook. He's steadily improved every year, and proved he could lead a team when durant went down. His reckless play could potentially lead to a freak injury or several small lasting injuries. You don't wanna limit someone with that passion, but if he could learn to channel that energy and become a more all around domiating point (he's got the athleticism to do it) instead of a score first even with durant point, he could be a great player for years and years to come.

6. John wall. He's become one of the top points in the game while leading the bullets back to the playoffs. Still needs some work on his perimeter shooting, but the driving, passing, and defensive abilities are there for him to be the next great point guard.

7. I wanna say melo here but his team success is troubling. He might not have the best supporting cast, but look what lebron does with players that many say are borderline scrubs. He's continuing to prove he's a lethal scorer, but he's lazy on defense and I'm not sure he is that great of a team leader like his contract and league status as a superstar say he should be. But I'll settle on melo at 7.

8, 9, and 10 in no particular order are kevin love, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Paul george.

Honerable mention: dirk, Marc gasol, parker/duncan, curry, Zach randolph, griffin, dwight, noah, and t chandler.

Duncan is not involved in just this decade. He's a rare all time great and had his best years last decade.

There are some very good list here, we're close to the next 5. Maybe young players like AD a drafted player, HECk I even saw Julius Randle! Yea! Lol!

This is half way through, definitely owned by Lebron, being in almost every final. Still have a lot of young talent who could elevate themselves into everyone's list.

I hold Harden & Dwight to another level after their comments after Parsons left saying they're the superstars of the team and everyone else is under them (which is true but you don't say no ahole **** like that) and they choked a couple games away against The Warriors and sometimes take plays/games off. So yeah I wouldn't pick him first to be on my team but he isn't a bad second option.

Actually a team of Billups, Tmac, Duncan vs. CP3, KD, and Lebron could be really interesting. The new school has more talent but Billups and Duncan are proven winners and Tmac may be the best pure offensive player in the whole matchup.

Duncan is amazing... Not gonna argue there but if we are going by what the above poster stated James will likely finish ahead of him... I think Tmac when healthy is above most of the people who I have in my top 15 all time... I ****ing loved a healthy tmac... Billups not as high on... Esp when it comes to CP3.

the 2009-2010 season. its champion was the Lakers, the 2010 champions. 2010, first year of the 10's decade.

the 1999-2000 season. its champion was the Lakers, the 2000 Champions. 2000, first year of the 2000 decade.

the 1989-1990 season. its champion was the Pistons, the 1990 Champions. 1990, first year of... the 90s.

it does get a little weird mentally with the 2000's for some reason, ill give you that. But the Pistons won in the 1989-1990 season and were thus the 1990 NBA champions, or first of the decade.

The 1990, 2000, and 2010 are the end of the decades, not the beginning.

So it's 1981-1990, 1991-2000, 2001-2010.

For you to say that the 2010 is the beginning of the year, you would have had to start the count back from 0 AD- 9 AD then start a new decade 10 AD to 19 AD then 20 AD - 29 AD, and so on. But there is no 0 AD so you had to start 1 AD- 10AD, 11 AD - 20 AD, 21 AD - 30 AD, etc.

Whenever a year ends in a 0, that means it's the 10th year, not the 1st year. So in last decade, the end of that decade was December 31st, 2010. Then the cycle starts back at Jan 1st, 2011 (which is why the last number starts with a 1).
