Found this topic on another site, but I found this very interesting though...how different would the NBA be if every NBA final match-up had the opposite outcome(ie Heat beating the Spurs 4-1 last year), how would the legacies of Jordan(0-6), Russell(1-12), and James(3-2) be defined if their finals record was reversed? Who would be considered the G.O.A.T?

What about NBA Teams? Would your team be better or worse?

Michael Jordan would probably be viewed as one of the biggest chokers of all time too along with Bill Russell who would probably become an afterthought in today's NBA

Russell wouldn't even be top 50.

Lakers + Giants

Lakers would go from 16 championships to 15, Celtics would go from 17 to 4.

Celtics are GODs in the finals.

So basically Lakers go from 16 to 15, Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain become GOATs, Michael Jordan goes from GOAT to biggest choker of all time followed by Bill Russell, and Celtics go from 17 titles to 4.

....I am ok with this.

Robert Horry would just be a guy who looks like Will Smith and averaged 7 points a game instead of being a guy who looks like Will Smith, averaged 7 points a game and won 7 NBA championships.

Wilt Chamberlain would be unquestionable GOAT.

Unless I'm mistaken he would have had 3 Titles and 2 Finals losses correct?

The buffalo bills would be the greatest team in nfl history and the steel curtain and the 80's 49ers would be the teams who choked in the super bowl lol.

LBJ would have more rings than Kobe; West and Magic would be the greatest Lakers, hands down, and Wilt would be the GOAT.

Russell and Jordan would still be seen as great, just as Malone, Stockton, and West are, but there'd be something weighing them down.

Also, the NBA would not be as popular as it is; Jordan's legacy and dynasty made the NBA worth watching to so many casual fans during the 90's. They would have lost interest after seeing him lose so many times.

Outside of Magic and West very few of the consensus top players we think of today would have a lot of rings.

What would be the ring counts of the Top 10 of all-time?

Magic - 4 (4-5)
KAJ - 4 (4-6)
Wilt - 3 (3-2)
LeBron - 3 (3-2)
Shaq - 2 (2-4)
Kobe - 2 (2-5)
Hakeem - 1 (1-2)
Duncan - 1 (1-5)
MJ - 0 (0-6)

I think those are right but somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Bird - 2 (2-3)

I think Jerry West would be viewed as the GOAT... he would have the most rings out of any of the All Time Greats
