He was favored to possibly sign with the Magic or less likely with the pels. Now that both those openings are filled, what is his likely landing spot?

Denver still has a spot but i doubt they are a serious contender for him, could he end up in a big market like LA or take a sabbatical?

I think he takes a year off and waits to see what opens up.

with the openings left, I agree. Why not just sit and get paid, instead of dealing with a rebuild project like the Wolves or Nuggets?

When the Cavs lose in the finals they will fire Blatt. Thibs will then sign there in a "if you can't beat em', join em'" type of move.

He could rejoin Doc in LA as a defensive specialist for one year...

I think so too.....he's going to have options no matter when he decides to re-enter the fray. He might as well pull a PJ or a JvG and wait until a plum job comes his way.

Ha, the last thing I'd want to hear is Thibs' raspy voice over 48 minutes of game time. He makes everything sound just awful.

I dont think ESPN cares about raspiness. Hence why Doc Rivers used to be a long time analyst.

I think he sits out a year and lets the Bulls pay him to sit on the couch, and a near contender will pick him up next year. Coaching legacies are built on 3 things, rings, total wins, and winning %. Taking a rebuilding project is not going to help with any of those.

Why do so many bulls fans say this will happen? Do you actually believe that? Blatt has done a great job with the Cavs.

Bulls fan here who doesn't think Blatt is getting fired. I'm not sure why people are still on that train.

As for Thibs, looks like he's about a take a really nice vacation and get 4.5 mil for doing so. I think next year teams will have more time to line things up for him knowing with 100% certainty he's available.

Or PJ Carlesimo for that matter. I still have a hard time listening. Same with Shaq, albeit for different reasons.
