Well if Mike Miller makes $6.2 mil, I'd want closer to that.

But really accidental banking in a shot isn't worthy. Shows you overshot it..duh

I used to hate Paul Pierce for being a clown and faking injuries...

However, what he has done in DC is impressive. This is what teams are looking for when they sign veterans. He has taken a back seat to Wall and Beal but still contributes without complaining about his role or minutes. If you look at other players who have signed with or facilitated trades to other teams during the twilight of their career, none have contributed as much as The Truth.

Amare, Marion, Granger, AK47, Caron Butler... none have come close to what Pierce is doing right now.

The guy has been the ultimate troll this postseason, I know PSD NBA's forum has been dying down but there are too many quotes from Pierce this postseason.

From raptors don't have "it" to customs to "i dont even know what that means" in response to Millsap's internal victory comments to i called game. He has been in total i dont give a **** troll mode

I hope Wall's injuries isn't too serious because I'm very intrigued by a Cavs/Wiz series.

Pierce has done wonders for Wizards and their beating the conference champs is awesome.
At 37 he is best under pressure just as Doc Rivers always wanted the ball in his hands in crunch time.

I don't know if I'd compare what Pierce has done for the Wizard to what Marion has done for the Mavericks, but it's in the same ballpark. Marion was a hustle player who was a lock down defender for them.

Cavs/Wiz, Bulls/Wiz. Both would be interesting given PP history against those teams.

well that was what I was getting at haha. He was more explosive early in his career, but he has constantly been a player who sizes you up, he is big, strong, and has great footwork and feel. One of those guys who would constantly win the 1-1 competitions at summer camps, he just feels his defender, and always makes the right move at the right time.

He hit a wide-open corner 3, and he's basically a 3 point specialist now that plays the 4 in smallball lineups as much as not. I mean, credit for hitting it but that's sort of his job. Creating the look deserves more props (Wall/Wittman).

please he is averaging 16 a night for the playoffs on shooting 55% from both 2 and 3 point land. he has also hit more big shots then anyone on the team this playoffs. If their guards would move the ball sooner in the 4th instead of pounding it until they can get a shot or spoon feed someone Pierce would actually have more free looks and there offensive would a lot better off

Yet has still found a way to hit more big time clutch buckets in the playoffs than any player on any team this year. When a role player and the 4th best non-big in his teams rotation puts himself into those situations this many times and delivers its special.

Porter. Pierce got schooled by Carroll early and often in this series. Probably overrated as a defender in his prime but he had his moments - now he's just terrible. That last shot was the most impressive though, even if it didn't count. He's put into those situations because he's a great shooter that can still dance around and get a shot off. He still missed as many as he made in the clutch in the series IIRC.

top 5 this guy is more clutch than Jordan. If that shot was off in time last game wouldn't he have matched Jordan for all time playoff buzzer beaters 2 playoff series?
