Okay.

I am doing something similar in the MLB section, but I am going to provide a different twist here.

The set up is as follows, you are a GM, and you know the past history of every player up to today. But you get to go back in time, and pretend you have the 16th pick in every draft, and you need to assemble the best roster that you possibly can.

Anyone that was in the first 15 picks does not count. You have to choose the best player that will fill your roster correctly and try to build the most competitive team possible. Remember, players must be able to play the position that you assign them to and must have played multiple minutes in multiple appearances at that position in the NBA to qualify for that position.

Here is how it works:

We are starting in 2003. The first fifteen players are already off the board, and you have the 16th pick, in real life Boston took Troy Bell. But you get to have the privelege of hindsight and get to select whoever you think will help you build the best possible roster.

When you finish, and get to the 2014 NBA draft, we will see who we believe would have the most competitive roster assembled. Note, you can take someone that was an undrafted free agent as well, like a Jeremy Lin, but you need to take him in the year that he would have been drafted, for Lin that would be 2010. I will post up to 29 possible selections, and you can select an Other, but please tell us who you would have taken.

Each poll will last 3 days, and then we will go on to the next year.

PG – Ty Lawson- 2009
SG - jimmy butler- 2011
SF – khris middleton- 2012
PF - Serge Ibaka- 2008
C – Marc Gasol- 2007
Bench
PG – Eric Bledsoe- 2010
SG – Monta Ellis- 2005
SF – Kyle korver- 2003
PF - Paul Millsap- 2006
C – Rudy Gobert - 2013
Misc - Bruno caboclo - 2014
Misc –Kevin Martin- 2004

This team probably wins around 68 games.
The starting lineup has 4 very good defenders that can make it difficult to score, minimize use of double teams and force turnovers
On offence Lawson's quickness and gasols post presence can create open looks with everybody being a capable shooter/scorer
The bench has 2 shot creators, 2 sharpshooters, a post presence, shot blocker
Then there's Bruno who can develop because he's a freak with the most potential and wouldn't ever see floor time right now anyway

Haha I was being modest, they lack that guy who can fully take over a game though, and not everyone can be on the floor at the same time

Gotta be the Bosnian beast. He should have been a top 5 pick last summer.

pg- Jeff Teague
sg- Jimmy Butler
sf: Draymond Green
pf: Paul Millsap
C: Marc Gasol

bench
pg: Eric Bledsoe/ Jordan Clarkson
sg: Kyle Korver/ Jordan Clarkson
sf: Trevor Ariza
pf: Serge Ibaka
C: Marcin Gortat/Rudy Gobert

I think most of these teams win 60+ too many great players have been available not to.

I think my team could win 67 games.
