Kyle Lowry has no timetable for a return after re-injuring his back.

The Raptors point guard is out indefinitely due to his back “twisted the wrong way” in the Toronto Raptors 109-104 loss to the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night.

Lowry had missed the Raptors previous two games after initially suffering the injury against the Minnesota Timberwolves. His return to the lineup lasted just 10 minutes.

After the game Lowry said he would not attempt to rush back from the most recent set back.
"I'mma make sure I'm completely and fully healthy before I even step back on the floor," a solemn Lowry told reporters.

The Raptors missed an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot on Tuesday, but still sit first in the Atlantic Division by 10.5 games and fourth in the Eastern Conference.

The Raptors have 11 games remaining in the regular season, which concludes April 15.

As a Raptor fan, I don't fully understand their logic in bringing players back. Derozan was allowed to rest for a little more than a week so he was fully healed, while they have rushed Lowry back a few times. At this point, with the Division title pretty much guaranteed, they should've just kept him out a couple more games if he needed them

As the season is coming to its conclusion, this is worrisome to me (as a Raptor fan). He'll probably make it back around playoff time, but we lose a significant part of our offense and possibly more significant part of the defense (since other than Derozan, none of our guards can really defend anyone). Seeing that the Raptors will likely draw the Wizards, who have one of the best point guards in the league in John Wall, a rusty Lowry (or absent Lowry), will probably kill us :laugh2)

Also, the Wizards aren't that far back, and now, they might be able to potentially take HCA in a first round series if they were to meet (someone correct me if I'm not mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that the better record would get HCA in the NBA, regardless of division title). Raptors-Wizards might go 7, so that last game location will likely be critical.

Sucks for Toronto. Hopefully he can be fully healthy come playoff time.

First DeRozan, now Lowry. Toronto is playing with fire. Keep them both out until the playoffs. Damn.

If only Dwayne Casey could be out indefinitely

Hate injuries. Hopefully he comes back and plays well in playoffs for Raps.

Injuries really blow. Toronto is a team that plays with a lot of heart and Lowry is a big part of that. Hoping he comes back healthy for the playoffs.

 If only.

Stunts JVs development, and despite being a "defensive specialist", keeps the best defensive players other than Lowry on the Bench, and we can't stop anybody at this point :pity:
