Indiana I can see going after him in the F.A., and probably the Lakers. Maybe the Magic and Jazz could be underdogs because Rondo can be an upgrade over Trey Burke and Elfrid Payton.

No Pacers fan in their right mind would want Rondo over George Hill right now.

...according to one journalist in Dallas who Dallas fans take with a grain of salt.

way too early to tell, playoffs dictate all.

He's one of the worst PG's in the league no thanks

Who would want him?

He hasn't played well in like 4 years.

He really is. He's also been one of the weaker guards of the past few years.

Exactly. It's the same thing I said in the Kevin Love thread. The prime example of this is LeBron James. If he won the title with Miami last year there is no way he's in Cleveland right now.

Only teams I see pursuing him that he'll be interested in are Lakers or Rockets.

Rondo is Lakers bound, he has friends and family in the west coast. He's been linked to the Lakers for a while now. Kobe has been recruiting him heavily. He won't act like a idiot around Kobe most likely. Lakers have money, makes too much sense.

Except Rondo will make the Lakers more mediocre meaning worse draft odds.

That would be a moronic move to sign Rondo at this point of his career. He has been in steady decline the last couple of years and will probably still command a ridiculous 12-15 mil per yr in his next contract.

Lakers already have a guy who is probably better than Rondo right now in Clarkson plus he has tremendous upside rather than a decline, plus he makes a microscopic fraction of what Rondo makes. What makes a lot of sense is for the Lakers to hold onto Clarkson for now, watch his development, and wait for guys like Lillard or Westbrook to hit free agency.

what kind of contract will he get this summer?

I suspect he is in fact Lakers bound. I am guessing a 4 year deal, 16M a year or so. That said, he could opt for a one year deal, work his *** off and look to CY16 when the market and spending dollars increases.
