that was nasty. Just me, or did he offensive foul the **** outta him with his off hand? I mean, if that right there is legal, why the hell would anyone shoot a jump shot. ever.

Jesus. That's prime RJ on the Nets right there. Vicious dunk and yes, probably best poster dunk of the year so far.

MKG's foot was in the restricted area, I don't think he can draw an offensive foul there, regardless of what the offensive players does (unless it's a flagrant).

That's not true at all... Regardless of where he is using the off arm is an offensive foul. However I don't believe the dunk counted anyways? At least that's what it said on Twitter

You are correct:

The restricted are also does not apply if the secondary defender jumps in attempting to block the shot, the offensive player leads with his leg or knee in an unnatural motion or uses his off arm to prevent the defender from blocking his shot.http://www.nba.com/nba101/misunderstood_0708.html

To me it looks like he didn't extend his off hand at all which is perfectly legal. In that case then it's absolutely crazy. Look where he took off from!

EDIT: Saw a better replay and yeah, he did grab the arm a little bit but didn't really push it away. It was momentum. The call could have really gone either way.

That easily would've been one of the top dunks this season but the damn refs had to call an offensive freakin foul smh

Blake griffin would get away with that every day of the week

Offensive foul or not that was awesome. I did not think RJ could still do that.

What I love the best is the contain the Hornets bench even showed. You know its good when you got the opposing bench moving.

this, lmao

Great D from MKG to have his feet down that quick, nobody in their right mind would think RJ could or would dunk it from that deep

It's funny though because it seems like 9 times out of 10 it isn't called

He grabs MKG's shot blocking hand and moves it out of the way! If that's not an offensive foul I don't know what is! Call me a homer but this one still takes the cake for me!

Yeah... they pretty much never call it when people use their offhand.

Much like how they never call travels when LeBron takes 5 steps.

99 times out of 100 they don't call this, in fact most of the time they'll give the dunker the And 1. I couldn't believe they actually called it this time... way to ruin an awesome moment.

Yeah but he pulled a Vince. Doesn't dunk anymore. Strictly a mid range fairy.

It's probably an offensive foul, but as others have stated, no way would they have called this a foul on a star player. Great dunk by Jefferson, though. He was a sneaky good signing by the Mavericks. He doesn't play a ton, but the few minutes I've seen him play he's been pretty productive. And he's shooting lights out from the 3-point line this season.

Also, since many other posters seem to be posting dunks from their favorite teams, I might as well join in...

Not the dunk of the year. But it was fun to watch nontheless.

Lol....posters calling a dunk that doesn't count because of an offensive foul the dunk of the year....regardless if that foul is not called often, it was called on that play and rightfully so

 that dunk might not be as good as the Jefferson dunk but to say it blows and how any nba player can do that is laughable.

MKG set up and went up perfectly, if you're saying they wouldnt call that on another player you are focusing too much on Rjeff

That was nice, I hadn't seen that one! I still like JJ's better probably just because it was on Andre Drummond and it really pissed him off

I like that Baynes just runs up the court straight away as if it didn't happen, trying to play it down.

Might be last year but... does this still count?
