We don't what Phily is giving up. They want Budinger just to Buy him out.
Former Nugget Miller for Sessions.

They'll buy him out. Do the draft protections that apply to the pick carry over? Because if they do it can't be higher than 18 this years and then it can't be a top 15 the next two years and then it turns into two seconds.

1 year of Javale McGee at $12 million to get a 1st round draft pick. Sounds like another savvy Philly move to me.

At first I thought why for Philly, then I saw the draft pick included. The draft pick hoarding continues...this is why Philly doesn't sign free agents, so they can take everywhere else's garbage and get picks in the process.

Yes, draft protections carry over.

Philly has cap space so they don't have to send any salary back. They can just send one of their 5 billion 2nd rounders and heavily protect it.

It will be close if we get the pick this year. Will OKC finish higher than 18th? Either way it should be a lock to get the pick next year

If McGee gets bought out. If I'm the Hawks I'd look into it.

Far from the smartest player in the world but Atleast he can block some shots.

Man, I would LOVE McGee on my team

McGee would be an awesome fit on the Clippers bench. He's really similar to DJ if healthy and just 2 years ago McGee was clearly the better player. He was thought to have higher upside too.

I was the only guy firmly against that. Then DJ went ghost in the playoffs and McGee had that huge series vs the Lakers.

Still, I dont think he was clearly better, just more volatile.

Warriors need to try to take advantage if bought out. Interior D is needed badly cant trust AB not to get injured.

Does anyone know if they want to keep him? Just speculation?

Denver is going to suck now. Suck like a Bissell.

This is more than likely for 2 second round picks. But then again it's free money (they are below the floor), so you can't hate.

doesn't look like he'll be bought out. we'll probably hold on to him until the trade deadline next year, or maybe to move around in the draft.
