I was talking to a friend today about the '94 contest where we both think Pack was robbed (I know he messed up the last one but if he hadn't...) Anyway it got me thinking about the format as a whole. Should the NBA go back to the old format or do something similar? Players get 90 seconds to make at least three dunks and are judged on their full performance for the first round? Then the finals round between the three best? Bring back judges?

Last years format was awful. I know they want to keep the fans involved somewhat so... why not have the first round as the 90 second thing and the fans vote on their favourite. The top three go through and then you have three judges in the finals round, two actual judges and the third "judge" is the fan vote. An average is taken so the fans have an impact but don't actually decide the winner outright?

Really? I hadn't heard anything. I hope so.

I haven't paid much attention to the weekend tbh, outside of the 3 point contestants.
