View Full Version : Which players would you like to see come back for next season?

Even though the season was lost for quite some time, there are still some hidden gems that have came from this season so far. Clarkson, Ellington, and Davis has all been really impressive this season and have proved to be at least solid backup players. Clarkson could be a really good backup PG for whoever we sign to be our starting PG this offseason. Ellington is a nice back up to Kobe at the 2 and Davis is a nice solid big man to come off the bench of get us blocks/rebounds and shoot at a high percentage. I can see the Lakers bringing these 3 guys back to be part of the team for next season. The Lakers need to trade Young to shed off his salary, his ego has really got to him and he hasn't been consistent all season. Im still skeptical of Kelly and Price, but doesn't seem like they would be dependable players to count on on a consistent basis.

Randle... everyone else is pretty much a turd that can be replaced in FA

randle + guys that would help us tank

Clarkson/Ellington/Randle/Black/Davis...although I'm getting the feeling that they may draft Mudiay. That could be a nasty 1/2 with Randle down in the post.

Heading into the trade deadline-
1.) LAL-PHX: Expiring of Steve Nash and Ed Davis for Mason Plumlee
2.) LAL-OKC-MIL: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kmvrcpd
3.) Trade Lin for a late 1st

Max player: Kawhi Lenard, Jimmy Butler, or Kevin Love
1st rounder: Okafor, Mudiay or Stanley Johnson

Other FAs worth the look:
-Robin Lopez
-JJ Barea

Opening night: Either we miraculously hit the jackpot with Okafor >

or we realistically settle for Stanley Johnson, but I do like that he's NBA ready with a very high motor >

Tarik Black - has shown heart and hustle.

Julius Randle - Want to see if he's the real deal (Zach Randolph)

Jordan Hill - would like to see back but if can traded for something of value will get over him fast.

Everyone else can be replaced with undrafted free agents

Randle, clarkson, black.

The funny part is if these 3 players actually pan out ... I STILL have a feeling that Lakers fans will find a way to blame the front office for success and not tanking, just saying
Keeping the trend going but some youth into the roster and next year's pick ... not too bad to bring in a young team for after Kobe's retirement
