They made the right decision to play Demar tonight. Knock some of the rust off against an inferior team so he is more prepared for the Hawks.

holy **** 17 free throws for philly over 7 for toronto? wtf is happening to the raps with fouls... other day detroit had more than double the # of free throws which was all the difference in the win... raps need to tighten it up.

It all depends on the matchup. But at this point, im not confident at all that we'll be getting out of the first round.

another pg killing us.

It's this silly defense where we let them drive by on pick and rolls and ... I'm not sure what's supposed to happen then. Somebody probably is supposed to shift over and stop the drive, but it never happens. All I see is Lowry jogging from behind and that making an exasperated shrug when the opposing PG scores. It's starting to get tiresome to watch. Clearly everybody has figured out that it's an easy way to score on us!

LanceUpperCut

I do love DD getting to the line and slowing things down. Lately Lowry, Ross and Jonas have been a little out of control with the fast pace. This team does need another big, I love Jonas and think he can be a great but like all good C it takes time and another solid defensive big to play with him could do wonders.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, when your not performing go sit down because Casey's looking for the W and Ross ain't helping with that

Eh considering how the Raptors have been a joke for most of their existence, the same can be said about us. Were only (hopefully) seeing a new dawn now.

Listening to broadcasters of other teams is always interesting, especially in pre-game shows when they talk about Raptors. During the Boston game, for example, they were talking about how Raptors are built so well for the playoffs because they have so many shooters -- the games are tight and physical, and it's hard to score inside, so you need people that are able to knock down shots. JJ was having a great game that day, and they were saying how he'll probably not see much time in the playoffs because of his inability to shoot.

You ask 10 people what is the key to winning in playoffs and you'll get 10 different answers.

Ha! Did Spurs win last year because of defence? I bet even on this forum (where people appreciate good D more than your average basketball follower) you won't get 6.75/10 to answer yes to that question. :)

Since D is THE sports cliche I think 6.75 is fair. ;) and the Spurs rarely play poor D.
