That is crazy, easily the best Laker ever and #2 all time for me.

Mmm... I dunno that I'd give Magic that many in a row. Hakeem had some pretty phenomenal years on both sides of the ball in the late 80s.

Looking at that list now, there's actually a lot of conference MVPs I'd disagree with.

If the NBA tired of giving MJ the MVP then they would not have given it to Magic so many times in a row.

It's a shame one of the best seasons by a PG ever is completely over shadowed by Birds amazing season.

Isiah averaged 21 points, 14 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 steals while shooting 46% from the field.

they just take the highest votes from both conferences. I don't think someone made up their own list.

No surprise. Magic is the best player of the '80 decade imo. And one of the best player that the Lakers had along with Kareem,Wilt,Shaq,Kobe and West.
Probably he's,historically speaking, the most important player of Lakers history.

I wish they had an MVP of both conferences

He's just showing who had the most votes from each conference.

Not who should have won, who would have won.

I don't think Magic would have the most if the list extended before 1977. there are some old school GOATs who might challenge that, I didn't look.

Yes probably. Kareem,Wilt and Russell would easily win if the list extended before 1977.
Kareem in the '70 decade won MVP six times.
Wilt and Russell in the first 15 years from the birth of the Mvp's trophy won MVP nine times(Bill with five and Wilt with four).
