While this rumor was being speculated Doc should have been getting a SF.

He tried to get Green

He didn't try hard enough

It makes sense that Doc would be interested in him. He's not very good, doesn't fill a need and doesn't have much upside. He would be the 3rd SG on the roster like that added by Doc.

They don't have anything Boston want

I figured Daddy Doc would get him eventually.

Going to be awkward when it comes time to cut him. Or he'll give him a huge deal :)

Anyone see this type of situation happening “Jordan (Farmar), you might be as good as Austin, but to beat him out you’ve got to be better – he’s my son.”

Rivers does make a bit of sense. I do think he would be an upgrade over Farmar. There hasn't been anything new on twitter since it was originally reported. I'm not sure it's really happening. I think they would have to find a 3rd or 5th team to take Farmar for this to work.

Has Rivers improved since his awful rookie season?

This. Hawes has been an absolute waste of money in lala land. Although idk if Pierce is the answer the the defensive issues LAC has had at the 3 position.

Farmar blows. Rivers would be an up tempo upgrade over him. I'd be an upgrade over Farmar

Not really, had some glimpses this year of decent offense and solid D but Jimmer started to get more play time than him of that says anything.

Once Prince is bought out, Clippers will pick him up.

When was the last time the Celtics have bought out anyone? He'll either end up contributing this season our ride the bench. Doubt he'll be bought out

So third team has to give up a second rounder and a expiring for who? Or the third team gets a second rounder for the expiring? Or the third team has to cough up a second rounder to unload a expiring? Am I missing something? I asked WOJ on twitter didn't get a reply yet.

I read on twitter that the Lakers are the most likely 3rd team and would take on Farmar. I think they have cap space or an exception they could use. It would be pretty funny if the Lakers helped the Doc get his son. I think Rivers would be a better fit than Farmar on the Clippers. I'm not sure why the Lakers would want to take Farmar's salary next year tho.

If he gets bought out that makes sense but I also doubt Boston will buy him out.
