Good luck Corey!

I figured we would move him to go into full rebuild, and give him a chance to play on a good team.

Trade exception, and probably a pick we won't see for a while, unless it's a 2nd rounder??

considering Brewer has been our backup PG half the ****ing season, I will welcome Daniels.

Good move for the Rockets. Double down on your defense and transition game and rely on the bigs plus Harden for scoring.

Overrated Denver. Watched him in Denver, his Steals per game does not indicate how good he is at defense by any means.

Great energy guy though.

he is not a good defender man to man, he is still just too skinny and takes so many chances. But he is disruptive, plays hard, and deflects a lot of balls. Good bench player.

Ariza looks like he is wearing down a bit, it'll be good to get him a little more rest.

Nothing specific on what they gave up though :(

Daniels and a couple 2nd rounders for brewer and getting rid of turiaf? K.

Not excited or really dissapointed just an average move that makes sense for both teams. Good pick up for Houston as an energy bench player though.

I had been thinking that they were going to sell Daniels while he's still somewhat relevant (although it's arguable that he was ever that relevant to begin with). He seemed the odd man out has he needed more minutes to get into the groove than he was getting. He came into the game last night and hit 3 of his first 4 threes Ns I couldn't help but think that this was a showcase for his three ball that he still had it after missing most of his attempts this year.

Now Garcia is expendable or cut worthy. I wish Jeff Adrien was still a free agent. But backup center/pf depth is now the new priorty.

why do good teams always rape bad teams in trades- LOL twolves need to look to get the upperhand in talent once in a while if they want to be good.

Brewer was only going to take minutes away from our young developing players anyways. We are a rebuilding team and have been short on guards and 3pt shooting so we get a young prospect who can stretch the floor, open up space for Wiggins/Shabazz, get a 2nd rounder and dump turiafs contract as well.

There really wasn't a reason for us to keep/pay corey through next year when we will be rebuilding and have young sf talent anyways. It isn't some big win, but it is actually the right move for us.

Agreed, and frankly you're probably a better team even right now with Shabazz getting more minutes over Brewer. His shooting is a disgrace and he's not much of a defender despite his obsession with chasing balls in the passing lane and racking up a couple steals for you.

Ya shabazz has been playing great. Brewer gambles a lot on defense as mentioned so even though he's a bit better it isn't that significant like some may think. A lot of times it throws our defense off because he will miss and everyone needs to rotate/recover.

I don't know if we are better right now but the difference isn't big and I'd rather let the young guys develop more anyways.

Brewer is not good enough to call this a rape. Those 2nd round draft picks could produce a player just as good.

If Morey wants a second round draft pick, he buys one. Also, they have more in the bank.

I think it was a fair trade both sides.

No "rape" on either side.

We get wing help while giving up a non rotation player and another team's second along with ours.

T wolves free up space needed and get rid of Turiaf while gaining a 3pt specialist and a pick.

We flipped him to philly along with a 2nd rounder.
WE got back Alexy shved.

It helps wolves save money and hikie would stab his mom for a free 2nd rounder for taking on salary for a guy not playing. lmao

The Rocket's didn't trade for Turiaf, the76ers did, and Alexey Shved also goes to Houston.

Nice pick up. Him and homeless man Beverly are going to be sick on trap defense. If they were to sit Harden for brief spells and have Beverly, Brewer, and Ariza around Dwight they could cause a nightmare on D.…

oh im not saying you refuse to trade brewer- but you gotta look for players that are gonna help you. Its managing assets and understanding value.

twolves have been rebuilding since they traded kg- at some point you gotta make some trades and bring back some talent. They got raped int he k love deal, they got raped in this deal.... they got raped in the kg deal. It isnt like they are bringing in lebron or anything on the free agent market

Trade was alright for the Rockets. But its just to make some noise in the media so their not totally forgotten since Mavs traded for Rondo even though this Rondo isn't what he use to be. Mavs and Rockets are always trying to out do each other.

Thought the Kings would be looking at Brewer, being as they want to play 4 on 5 defense for the breakout. Nobody would do that better than Brewer lol.

Anyway, decent pickup for Houston... Although could be a liability in the playoffs defensively.

I like the trade for the Rockets. Shores up some weak spots and allows them to release some players that weren't getting much burn.

I don't think this moves the needle a lot, but it should make the Rockets better.

I dont think you have watched enough of brewer if you think getting him can be rape in any trade. Brewer has the value of a young 3pt specialist and a couple of seconds. Mchale made the kg trade, hes on the other team here. The timberwolves actually gained by clearing his playing time for others, that's where he is at value wise...

Also I'm not sure why our past deals play a part in this at all but since flip became gm we have traded a pick last year to get two, shabazz and dieng. Then after many called for a trade at draft time flip held out and got great value by getting wiggins, Bennett, Thad. Sure it isn't exactly the value of love but that never happens, look at when other stars were traded. For the first time in a while we actually have young talent that should be playing so brewer leaving makes that possible.

Last night shabazz scored 26 on 11/15, more than brewer has all year as a starter. Brewer is shooting under .500 ts%, and gambles a ton defensivley. He is fine as a role player but makes no sense on our team as constructed so why not get what we can while allowing these young guys to play more?

To add for reference of his value brewer has been traded for Anthony Randolph, waived by the knicks, combined with Rudy Fernandez to land a 2nd rounder, and played out his contract to sign with new team.
