The Lakers have been awarded a $4.85 million disabled player exception for Steve Nash, who is out for the season with nerve damage.
The Lakers are over the salary cap and this exception will allow them to sign a free agent for the remainder of the season, or possibly trade for a player in the final year of their contract. We should hear reports about possible targets for L.A. in the coming days, so owners in deep leagues should keep an eye out for updates.

Iverson or Antonie Walker. Help one of these broke guys out. Walker probably needs it more.

The Lakers are on the verge of signing F Earl Clark to a one-year contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
He'll help make up for the loss of Julius Randle, as well as the current injury to Carlos Boozer, but might also hurt the strong play of Ed Davis. Then again, Clark has never really lived up to the hype, but is averaging close to 30 points in the D-League this season.

He had some good games with Lakers a few seasons ago.

I'm down with Earl Clark, gives them a little versatility at F spot.

I am disappointed they didn't bring Kwame Brown back tho, we could use some comedy....
